I've always wondered why trialists need to be anonymous in friendlies... Are we worried other teams will come in for them... And most likely they will be spotted from footage so why not just name them.

Sammy seems... committed. I'm really interested in how he fits in. Paying a fee in January for a player we didn't intend to use immediately struck me as very un-Vale. (I don't mean that as a criticism.)

What’s he supposedly injured? Grade 1 is hardly anything, it’s a minor strain. Grade 4 is the worst.

Yeah if memory serves we only really saw him when he came on against Oldham to help see things out. Clearly as you say to pay a fee and him coming from Man City as well there’s got to be something there they feel can be used.

So long as it’s channeled right having a bit of an edge to him is a good thing. Probably Gibbo could be a good one for him to try and emulate on that.

So despite all the panic we play Dundee Utd with a scratch team and manage win 1-0 then we play Rochdale(who have played 5 friendlies) with an even more scratch squad and win 3-2 ... I cant wait now for us to add to the squad... bring on League One I am ready even if others aren't

Don't get me wrong I don't know this person well. We are connected through work and I only met him the other day. They are apparently both members of some club. I would just treat it as 'it might be true but then it might just as well be just talk'
