Enjoyable game. There was a bad challenge in there by Stanway I think? The Swedish girl just jumped straight back up and a yellow card was given. In men's football they would have been rolling around on the floor for 10mins and all her teammates surrounding the ref trying to get a red card.

I've no doubt that assuming no-one has picked up a knock it will be the same team for the final, but I really think Russo should be starting ahead of White. White's been a great player for England, but I don't buy the narrative that White tires out the defence to allow the space for Russo when she comes on. Russo just looks more mobile, quicker, harrasses defences more, gets more involved in the build up play and more of a goal threat.

I'd stick with the same team,I'm not sure White or Russo can do 90 minutes?

Some of the football has been a pleasure to watch. Sure, some of the goalkeeping leaves a lot to be desired. But it helps when blokes are usually about a foot taller than their females counterparts. It's been a wonderful antidote to the crap served up by Southgate and his boys during the recent Nations League games.

One thing I've loved more than anything though is the lack of play acting and rolling around on the floor. They really put the men to shame in this regard.

She misses too many chances for me,especially headers.

She's definitely much less mobile than Russo. But the latter is also coming on against tiring defenders and it's been working a treat so far. Think it will be a case of same again for England at the weekend in regards to team selection.

Obviously men v women would be unsafe because of the physical differences. About 6 inches in height on average etc. But otherwise the men would beat the women by 30 to 40 nil. Such is the gap in physical capabilities and levels of skill the Lionesses aren't worth watching. It's woke overhyped rubbish. And I've been to a game to confirm that. I get everyone is free to their own view and spending of money etc.

Should have gone to Specsavers!

Warren is free to his own view as he says, it's certainly not my view that's for sure.
Not quite sure how he got to men v women from the previous post, it's chalk and cheese as far as I can see but looking at them both from those angles, I can't understand why anyone can't see the women's game is on the up.

The joy and excitement that fans get from watching it appears the same to me at an international level, obviously there is a vast difference at club level.

Men and women don`t compete against each other at tennis and cricket.
