Indeed, his grand vision of Lorne St at last is about to fully earn its keep. But his vision of the Prem is a lot harder to achieve nowadays, indeed as is the Championship but possible.

Yeah Premier was always going to be an issue, no players wanted to sign for an Austin Allegro or a nice Rover. If we had decent cars we could be PL 🙂 . Belly was one of a kind

Thank Goodness that the late Billy Bell never had an End named after him...

I think it would be good idea to have the away end (whichever that ends up being) named after Bill, and if them down the road ever come to play here again we could shove an 'S' at the end for one game.

To flip the logic, what’s wrong with fans making the Bycars a “home end”?  Fans could simply take it upon themselves.  Get the word out on the various channels.  We’re going to move into the Bycars for game XYZ, fill it up and have a party.  I appreciate this is highly unlikely as no doubt some will always find excuses, but the bogs are no worse than the Railway and the beer could easily be sorted.  Increased numbers in there on a regular basis would place more onus on the club to improve facilities.
The idea that we have to be in the Hamil end to generate any noise is patently untrue.
You are mad.

It's a hole.

How are you solving the beer situation so easily anyway? Your parties sound . No wonder you have resorted to wanting to have sex with me.

I think the Hamil tied in with Lorne Street is the way forward, the Shop is there, as is TC, plus the space for a fanzone. Bycars needs sorting but that depends on £££. Also home fans can exit from 3 sides, rather than having to walk past away fans. I suppose it all comes down to how the Bycars will be rebuilt and managed, re access for away fans and what the police think.

All that would be longer term though.  My suggestion, and it’s only that, would be an immediate and cost effective solution, but most fans are too blinkered.  Hamil or nothing.  Just to reiterate, I have no qualms either way, moved before and would move again if that’s what we do.

Clearly.

I thought it was a football stadium, not the Ritz.  When I used the Hamil bogs someone must’ve taken all the velvet cushions off the seats.  I still slipped on piss.  I queued forever for my beer.  No complaints, it’s what I expect in a football stadium.

There’s an unused tea bar which I would’ve thought could easily be used to sell beer out of sight of the pitch.

I’ve resorted to wanting to have sex with anyone ever since I started taking a couple of my wife’s HRT tablets along with my prescription viagra.

I have been in Hamil once in recent seasons - the Italy v England women's match where attendance overall was above 7k - and the Bycars many times. Hamil has good facilities on a par with Lorne Street. The Bycars is a bit like going fishing with levels attendance until now. Plenty of room, not much noise and you can try several positions to view given whatever mood you are in. The catering is hopelessly inadequate. I have been there when they have sold out of drinks before kick off - under previous owner. Toilets are are also inadequate - I always felt I didn't want a number 2 there and there wasn't much number 2 capacity anyway. So its inadequate and needs investment and likely upward of £100k and more likely £250k - £500k to get it to a standard that might be expected at say Championship level and when full every week.

It's an old ground and there is so much to do.

That's with none sold in hamil just think how more would be sold if used that end .
Think we may hit 6k ,good effort that .

There isn't much number 2 facilities for men in the Lorne street. 3 stalls and a mile of tin trough.

We hardly Sunderland they sold 29 thousand odd .
Be nice get a few more though it's the least the owners deserve .
My nephew had a ten gamer last season but brought himself a season ticket Monday I brought mine sun even though maximum amount of Home games I'll attend is 7/8 luckily for my lad he can use it the rest of the time as he is not at the point of being good with money yet but hope is eternal hopefully one day he can afford buy his own .
Lad at work has also got season ticket as usually he gets ten game vouchers aswell
So I think you will find a very good healthy number sold come kick off
