Very easily. 1 sell out game like last season alone with…what is the capacity of the extra bit? 3,000? So 3,000 extra seats at £24 is £72,000. From 1 game.

1600 seats

So £38,000 roughly per game? Still worth it.

VAT, concessions etc

If you think the average net receipts on tickets are anywhere near £20 I doubt I’d be asking you help me prepare a budget

As an aside how many times over the past 35 years have we sold out all home seats ?

After being wined and dined at VP for Fathers Day, very nice thanks, we had a nosey around the Lorne Street stand and in a room at the end of the RW Suite was a big rack of what appeared to be brand new Crown amplifiers, so I’d guess these will have been installed as part of any new PA system.

Coming back to this one, reading CG’s comments in todays paper it does seem as if the PA has indeed been upgraded.  It would probably have been a priority from health and safety perspective if nothing else.

I wonder how we are going to be affected by last seasons restrictions on attendances? If we get the balance right we can potentially maximise both ends of the ground during the season, switching between bigger away following in the Hamil and then using it to tempt more homes fans into that end for other fixtures.

It won't happen but opening day perfect opportunity.

Big anticipating home crowd hopefully 7000 basking in the July sunshine and 117 from Fleetwood shoved up the Bycars.

Ps I've just renewed my Bycars ticket this morning but I'd 100% swap as and when asked. No brainer.

That’s the perfect case in point. Everyone is high on the euphoria of the Swindon game using the Hamil and then the Wembley promotion.

Also I think we all know the potential powder keg games . There won't be an ounce of trouble at the following games. Get them in the Bycars.

The likes of Fleetwood, Accrington, Burton,Mk Don's, Exeter, FGR, Morecambe, Cambridge.

Point is, even with expenses removed, that’s thousands of pounds. Even if it was only 10k, that’s 10 matches of use.

7,000 would be a good average through the season without a local derby to boost the gate. Selling an end swap to Bycars STs and allowing Railway STs to use the Hamil for certain games could be tried on the basis of economics and as a trial for the future. But has to be driven on attendances, in the 90s I don't think we did much better than 7k, and the current economic situation is not promising.

There is no decent seats left in the Lorne street for a season ticket. So that means 3 of us not bothering. I was hoping the Hamil would of become available.

Bycars is a no, no as you cant even get a beer in there, and the Railway, the facilities are pretty rubbish.

I would buy all 3 right now if we could choose the Hamil

It needs finishing there's no doubt about that but what wasn't taken into account with the 100k figure was the need for a new space for the gym and I would imagine that's the main sticking point with the Lorne street. From a financial point of view it won't attract 1600 new fans people will just move from other parts and with it becoming a family stand most of the new fans it gets will not have to pay as they will be kids. The new suite however @ £800 a season ticket will generate enough money this season to get it finished for next.
