Inexperienced manager

Terrible tactics

Timewasting all the way through

No credit given by saying his team were outplayed

Trying to wind the ref up prematch by saying a stronger ref was needed

Arrogant manager,arrogant fans,arrogant players

And can we have the 2 balls back that his players ballooned over the bar please?

He's absolutely right about the 'fans' who accosted their players, completely unacceptable and sadly part of a wider societal malaise, with a minority of fans of all clubs (and the national team) seemingly intent on dragging us back to the bad old days.

Regards his comments on the match though, draw a fair result? Based on possession stats and the second half only, but you could then say exactly the same for the first leg; in both games, the better side on balance, who created more chances, won the match. The penalty I'll give him, looked like handball from where we were, but as we saw in the shootout, McKirdy getting a pen would not equate to a definite goal, and of course our goal was never offside. And as for the pitch, that was in perfect condition, absolutely immaculate, and there'd been plenty of rain during the week, watering it would just have made it slippery, so they'd have spent even more time on the floor.

Conducted themselves brilliantly throughout did they? Hmmm, feels like someone needs to find someone objective to rewatch the match with them, focussing on McKirdy and Williams' contributions in particular.

Looked like a carpet to me.Has he not complained about the width and height of the goals yet?

Brilliant!

Shouldn't have been so arrogant with their best away record boast should they?

There's certainly no excuse for the minority of Vale fans behaviour. Full stop.

However, the superiority complex of the Swindon fans is almost hilarious.

I've seen comments that they "outsung" us all match - seemingly oblivious to the fact that if you are in the away end of course your fans are going to sound louder. I watched the match again and it's clearly Vale fans throughout the game. And that's not because we're "better" in some way - it's logically because we were at home and there were more of us. That's all.

I've seen comments from fans who left the away end early saying how amazing the away support were to not react, only for other fans to say that actually, as they left early they didn't see the objects that were being lobbed out of the away end.

I would be more appreciative of them and their considerable achievements in going from financial disaster to the brink of promotion if some of their fans (I'm sure some are alright) didn't think the sun shone out of their own backsides.
