You could try hotels on the Chiltern train line route. That train service has a stop at Wembley stadium (which I presume will be running on the day). If so, then hotels in Wycombe or even, dare I say it, the Travel Lodge in Aylesbury (pop over and have a natter about the Vale) will be cheaper than Lundun town. You should also have a smooth getaway as I can't imagine the train service after the game is going to be that packed.

N.B. Worth checking the train service is definitely running that day before you book though.

Booked Wembley travelodge for £140, not ideal but means I can drink around Wembley both before and after the game.

What is the difference between CAT 1 & CAT6? I take it its just the view? or are there better facilities too?

Facilities are the same, better view, not the best closest to the pitch, I’m going to try and get category 3 as pretty good view from there but you do share the same facilities as the lower categories. Top tier won’t be open for this game.

The difference is whether you want to take a pair of binoculars to see the action or not. The top seats are a fair distance away.

I use Stanmore, its literally straight off the M1 and about 6 stops to Wembley.

Is it in the congestion zone?

Dont think so, I didnt have to pay any when I went England v Germany and did me half marathon a couple of months back.

I have been loads with England and always been top tier, great view wherever you sit but imagine if too low in the bottom tier its not as good.

See how the booking system looks but think I will go in the singing section on the £32 tickets.

Either way the view should be as good as any you'd get in L2, its a stunning stadium in terms of its sheer size and facilities. Having been to the Stade de France, Bernebeu and Olympiastadion its on a different planet to even those famous stadiums.

No, Stanmore is a goo shout

England v Germany i was out on in the car pretty swiftly, I would recommend and its only £6 parking IIRC.

Pretty sure Wembley have fan zones for each club so should be a good occassion!

I got a return from New St to Euston for £47 last night while I was stood in the stands after the result!

I got the Moor St train for the England match v Switzerland a few weeks ago. REALLY slow and crap to get home after. At least with Euston there's various options to get to Wembley.

Fair enough, I know it's a bit slower, but always quite liked the Moor St to Marylebone route and usually quieter, was just an option for folks to possibly save a few quid (like I say, Stoke-Euston was showing up as £80).

However we all get there, as long as we get there it's all good 👍

Yep, that's a nice route (Birmingham Moor St to Marylebone). Slower but an awful lot cheaper and you can do things like change at Wycombe (where's there's a nice cafe) and get the train direct to Wembley station from there. You may even bump into us lot on there (although we may be difficult to spot in our face paint and black and white wigs).
