seeing as most have only got 16 weeks bans I'd suggest they were guilty of over exuberance rather than anything more sinister.

Wonder if the Swindon Advertiser have put the pics up of their alleged culprits too in a bid to identify them.

No ......thought not.

I notice the bit about the police looking for 15 other culprits but dont actually mention 6 of them are town supporters!

Be interesting what they could actually be charged with IF anything -(bringing the game into disrepute???) Be surprised if any charges were made but it would be nice. Would also be nice IF the officials clamped down on McKirdy,Williams & Swindon for their diving, cheating time wasting tactics. Its a tactic they use a lot and it annoys many fan's.

What lie's are they meant to have said?

Nice unbiased reporting by the Swindon Advertiser.

Completely agree. They've done about four stories and the opening paragraphs all seem to be cut and paste with a heavy Town bias making them out to be entirely innocent parties.

Perhaps that reporter (Johnny Leighfield) should have a word with one of his own colleagues (Kirtsten Grant) who has written this report (below)?

Johnny may be astonished to read that (in the same newspaper) there's a report which states that while several Vale idiots have rightly been arrested, there's also been a Swindon arrest and that three of the seven people police still want to question came from Swindon.

If you'd just read Jonny's report, you'd think it was all one-sided. The actual police work proves that while several Vale fans were involved, there was Swindon involvement too.

It's interesting that the website's sport section chooses to lead with Jonny's report while Kirsten's is buried further down the page. Nice, unbiased reporting that...

I think there was some footage of some Vale 'fans' doing that stupid dance that grown men do when they are wanting to look like they want a fight but also to avoid it at any cost. Waving their stupid arms about and jutting their chins out. I think it's quite possible that Egbo got caught up in that and I don't think many would complain if the stories about 'our' horrendous behaviour began and ended with that.

A SWINDON fan has been banned from attending his club’s games after he threw several bins towards the pitch.

Sidney Stott was involved in crowd trouble when the Robins travelled to Stevenage last September.

He ran onto the pitch and also threw “several bins” at or towards an area adjacent to the pitch.

In the incident at the Lamex Stadium towards the end of the 1-1 game, chairs were broken and thrown onto the pitch and flares were also let off.

Advertising boards and signs were ripped off when the small section of away fans appeared to clash with stewards in the final five minutes.

So Swindon fans don’t cause trouble….. looks like ripping seats out is a pastime for them.

If it wasn't as suggested then thats pretty poor sportsmanship to call us scum etc.

Problem is we'll never know. I'd of called it an innocuous scratch a 4 year old kid gets regularly.

If a Vale fan did do it then its disgusting. I personally have my doubts. Fitted the Swindon narrative very well.

Can't wait for Charlton at Vale Park. The three amigos Garner Egbo and Payne need pelters.
