Right OK here me marks on a truly outstanding night at Vale park where for me the folk of the match were the supporters ,forget the nonsense of whatever happened after the final whistle went when your a club who was so near to liquidation and you were in that crowd last night you were magnificent as a whole so you get 20 out of 10 mark .
Stone 8 vital penalty save in shootout but other wise a quiet night for him as the lads in front of him were truly tremendous
Smith 9 had Davidson in his pocket all night and one challenge on Mckirdy was fantastic he was brilliant sponsor man of the match and deservedly so .
Hall 8.9 had Mckirdy in his pocket all night and passed it well also terrific player .
Benning 8.8 like a man possessed so positive set up Wilsons goal and scored the winning penalty brilliant display .
Gibbons 8.8 thats more like the Gibbons we know and love never lost a ball all night great penalty in shootout .
Garrity 8.8 brilliant as always great pen and nearly scored last minute of extra time with a header turned over by keeper .
Pett 9.1 my man of the match he wins balls he drives us forwards loved his display
Taylor 8.8 he's a class act thought once again he passed it well and he got stuck in aswell nothing wrong with his display for me well done young man .
Wilson 8.9 Scored the important goal but for me should have had the matchball missed a sitter before his goal and one flashed across the goal and even second half put one over when should have drilled it in back of net with his right foot .
Harratt 8.9 thought he wasbrilliant he stretched there back line and was so impressive that second half breakaway if only he shot straight away he would have had a goal his performance deserved .
Worrall 9 more like himself he buzzed about played a part in the goal and constantly was at it .
Subs Charsley 8.8 great energy drive and commitment.
Edmondson 8.8 put himself about excellently.
Fans 10 or should I say 20 it's amazing what encouragement does .
Same again at Wembley

I would say it's fairly priced tbh to be able pick up a ticket for 26 pound is very reasonable

It does sound that way but there will be some sort of booking fee. Want them posted? That’ll cost you. Overall the real cost will be £30 each to sit in the higher tier.

Seems rather steep, given I saw the community shield for £10 one year upper tier.

Still I will be going and will go for Tier one if available the mug that I am!

Seen ben garner been complaining saying that we refused it to water the pitch and that shouldn't be allowed. Am sorry but what world is he living in this is our home ground not his we get to call the shots on what we do to the pitch at our ground not the away team. Deluded beyond belief to even mention this as something he wasnt happy with.

He seems a right clown 😂

Fellow Vale fan. I don't always agree with you as the forum is all about opinions isn't it?!

However I have a lump in my throat reading this. It is the best post I think I've ever read. From the heart, accurate and I echo most of your feelings

I've never seen my son jump up and down hugging complete strangers but that is the how the occasion got to us all.

We've not win anything yet but last night is one of the most memorable matches I've been to....practically on a par with the PO win against Bristol Rovers when Robbie scored that winner

Thank you, I appreciate it. There’s so many opinions on here but the vast majority come from sheer passion for Vale. We gotta stick together.

Maybe the football authorities / referees need to stop the goading & in particular goal celebrations in front rival fans. You get a yellow card if you take your shirt off, but nothing for inciting rival fans. By all means celebrate in front of your own fans.

Anything considered deliberately antagonistic celebration-wise should be a booking in my opinion.

A really decent vlog from a Swindon perspective, a couple of understandably bitter comments aside.

I didn't notice at the time because I was upside down in the Railway, but it looks like Harratt (I think?) goes straight for the Swindon end and 'machine guns' them after won. Proper beeline. Bang Bang. Final penalty starts at 14:38 if you want to see impressive pace from our injured players in suits.

I never had a problem with McKirdy's goading, so I really don't have an issue with this.

Harratt is going down as one of the greats for this. Top 5 Vale striker all time. Build the statue.

I think Swindon are trying to will the ‘dirty, long ball’ tags into existence when in truth we are not dirty. I would say if we are, because we’re trying to win here, but I don’t think we are. Smith is frustrating and constantly on the wind up in a low-key way, but you can see some of the teams come to rough us up deliberately and I don’t think we do that.

If anything in recent months we’ve been crying out for a bit more steel and grit haven’t we!?

I agree about McKirdy, I quite like his antics from an entertainment point of view and don't particularly have an issue with anything he did to wind up vale fans. I don't think he overstepped at all and the whole thing certainly added to the festivities especially given we won and he smashed his penalty into Stanfields.

I've just watched the vlog too, pretty good from them really although there wasn't a great deal to spin in Swindon's favour but for the penalty appeal (which was a penalty for me in fairness).

What was interesting in that video though is where most of the bottles etc are being thrown from.  Let's not let Swindon play the victims over that. There's a vale vlog I watched this morning that shows similar too.

Not to use that as an excuse at all for the <ovf censored> in each camp, anyone identified as doing it should be banned in my view, but on two videos I've seen now, the story that Swindon Town's placid and docile away end full of kids and elderly people were pelted with bottles by the big bad PVFC hooligans is simply not supported. If anything, there are more examples of the opposite.
