Never had a card before he joined us… once it was identified that he couldnt control himself the club made decisive action which has proven correct. Process in action 👍

I guess that's one way to look at it. And I'm not one of those advocating we should have kept him. Only as a back up, until we had a new keeper in the building. I think the process failed in that department, and got it backwards letting him leave before a replacement was signed.

Surely we can’t judge the process as having failed until the end of the window.

What if Chesterfield had 2 options and the only way we could unload Covolan was to agree to let him go when we did.

What if we use that saved cash to invest in the keeper we want who we couldn’t get because it’s a tricky exit from his current side?

What if no one else wanted Cov?

We don’t know, therefore we are guessing. Which means we can’t categorically say it’s failed until we know the outcome.

I would suggest they have taken a calculated risk to move the chess pieces around for the best outcome for port vale.

Lets wait and see if it works or not
