Today’s new player reveal:

Scene: a cubicle in the home team dressing room at Vale Park, the door closed, two trainered feet visible below the door.  DC in the background giving a pep talk “I don’t want any d@£kneads in this dressing room”.  The cubicle occupant starts whistling “The Wonder of You”, a toilet roll, emblazoned with the SCFC emblem drops to the floor and rolls out under the door, a sigh, a flush, the door opens…….. and Will Forrester emerges.

Would that be enough to endear him to the hate Stoke brigade?

Or - you dont get to see the players face. YET! But you see him pull some old red and white striped rag off his body and chucks it in the bin and then pulls on his new Vale home shirt, you then see the name F O R R E S T E R emblazened across his back, he turns and smiles to the camera.  Then DC appears "Will' we've been expecting you.  Come in and meet your new team mates"

"Of course Gaffer" he replies...

Fade out.

I like that one , add on that he throws his Lard top crumpled on the floor and the Vale office cat pees all over it .

slept terribly.

no its because its permanent not loan. welcome him with open arms and love the fact he'd rather permanently play for us.

if loan boo boo boo.

permanent - no ties to stoke, happy days.

Not wanting to rain on everyone’s parade, Forrester’s only made 11 appearances in the football league. Unless he’s an unbelievable talent that can go straight in then he’s coming in as cover for smith, Hall and Cass and is one for the future.

I get it , seeing the stoke fans upset makes it all the more sweet

Very good friend of mine is a lardie.

Forrester scored at Bournemouth on his debut. Then was loaned to Mansfield where he got injured .

Played away to West Brom last season and was excellent but then dropped by the red nosed one.

He says he's a good prospect who with games under his belt could have the impact Taylor did for Bristol.

He's young and raw but open to improvement. The fact he's open to the move shows balls for a youngster .

Hopefully a Dicko type fans favourite rather than a Martin Patterson

If we can get a GK and a striker in before Friday then should have enough cover for the 1st few weeks. I still think we will see a player or 2 leave by the end of the window as we fine tune the squad.

What a difference a summer makes.Last summer debating about keeping the likes of Pope,Briwn Joyce etc because they could still do a job.

The turn around is amazing since Flickers and DC have come in.

A striker is a must in my opinion.  Not too worried if we start with Stone to be honest.
