D C has not said when these 6/7 players come in  3 may come in this window making a 20 man squad and the other 4 could arrive in january with some leaving no point wasting money on players to not get a game at all.

I thought Harratt had more bad games than good, I think the last 2 games of the season are clouding judgement a bit when you look at his loan as a whole. I think we can do better and hopefully we get someone in soon.

I thought he looked like a proper player. I'm not sure we've ever had a young loanee with such an eye for goal. I reckon he'll get a lot of goals for Bradford next season. Game of opinions, isn't it!

To me I think there was a little bit of a Luke Rodgers tendency to be offside a lot. When we needed him to step up though in the two biggest games he did so and I think that will auger well for the rest of his career.

Hughes largely only plays with one up top though so it’s not really a signing I get from Bradfords perspective as I think he needs someone alongside him to tell him what to do and where to run.

I thought Harratt showed good instinct for his pair against Mansfield in the league, made space for himself really well against Brentford, hit a great left foot strike against Swindle and played really well in the final and could have had a hat trick.

Showed good link up when played with Wilson and I thought he worked hard during his spell with us. Would have loved him on loan again for the season

I like the Dean Glover analogy but we can also use examples such as Zak Jules and that Forest keeper , was it Evtimov ?

My preference is for players to integrate with the squad such as Ojo who seems to have fitted in seamlessly.

Surely not chucking a keeper in at the deep end this late in the day. So I'm assuming Stone starts on Saturday

Talking of Kian Harratt’s loan on other chats in this thread didn’t he go straight into the game against Brentford the day after signing - may not have been settled in the team nor fully acquainted with the club culture but can’t argue he didn’t make an almost immediate, though not long-lived, impact.

Alex Jones also fits into that category when with us - hope Harratt’s career goes significantly better than Jones’ did moving up that way.

I thought DC or Flickers said another 6 or 7 before the end of August deadline?  No reason why we won’t have a 25 man squad by then and then shuffle the pack again in January, as last time.  Can’t see this not being the case myself.  If Willow is out longer term, Christmas suggested, that’s another extra body we need in the squad, even if only someone on a 6 month loan.

Swindon 13 and Walsall 14 signings. GET RID OF DC AND BRING BRUNO BACK. ! 🤪🤣

Quantity of signings isnt always a good thing, have a look at some of the pensioners that walsall have signed. a 40 y/o centre back being the prime example

Anybody know what has happened to that Derek Agyakwa, the trialist who was released by Watford.

I was abroad for the Kidsgrove friendly but my Dad went and mentioned he looked decent.

He wasn't in the squad for the Rochdale game, meaning we've potentially turned him down, even though we took him with us to Spain on the training camp?

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about it?

Zero mate. Sentinel is only used under my cats litter tray as that's all it's worth and no official news from the club.

I'm assuming he's not been offered anything or as per Wilson is Injured .

It can be a real 'eggs in one basket' if you're a trialist and decide to stick around for a prolonged trial. If we don't sign that Brad-bloke keeper who came to Spain and was sub against Rochdale, then he's wasted his whole pre-season with a club who aren't going to sign him. Remember that lad, Tom Solanke, who was apparently very close to earning a contract and was with us, IIRC, for the entire pre-season last year only to be told around the time of our first game that he wouldn't be getting a contract? He missed his chance to impress other managers and ended up going to Weymouth and then Southern League Central side Alvechurch.
