Forget comparison to any other seasons, they’ve gone.  Forget other teams, focus on us.  We’re aiming to sign possibly 6 or 7 new players between now and the end of August and they’ll need time to bed in.  In the ideal world these players would be of a high enough calibre to go straight into the first team, admittedly this is possible but unlikely.  This isn’t me “panicking” or having a meltdown by the way, and I’m sure we’ll be fine, but common sense would suggest the situation is far from ideal.

Aren't people so pessimistic in this forum. I was born in 2002 so I have witnessed only 20 years of ups and downs watching the vale and I can say that through the last two decades, the club currently feels to be at its healthiest.

With owners who have a genuine connection to the club and are pushing for improvements daily, a manager and DoF who have made a lot of hits and just a few misses with signings and guided us to a promotion in their first full season, but people still find areas to moan about.

It is strange to see people have such little trust in the club, at a time where it feels for me in my lifetime, to be one of the first times I have had full trust and confidence in everyone involved in the club.

Both Accrington and Burton were at full strength, obviously in the trophy games our opponents weren’t but neither were we.

I’m not worried about signings. There is nothing I can do to change things so worrying is a waste of energy. What will be will be.

I don't know how true it is but I've been told that Wilson's injury is a muscle tear, originally thought to be grade 1 so 6 to 8 weeks out but on further investigation they've decided it's a grade 2 so 12 weeks out

I question a recruitment policy which leaves us with 2 empty seats on the bench, just over a week before the start of the season.

I also question the need for the owner and Director of Football to go on a training expedition to Spain when it could be easier to recruit players by staying in the UK. 

Asking questions and scrutinising processes is what I'll do as a supporter covering 5 decades. 

You can't be blinded by the positives (like the new membership scheme) in recognising concerns. My concern is that we're underrepresented on the playing side for a tough campaign, where EVERY GAME MATTERS

My worry is that we'll get relegated to league 2 again, which is a concern because it's a terrible division to be in. Whether you can "do anything about it" isn't the point. That's like someone saying that a mother of a boxer is an idiot to worry about the welfare of their son in the ring "because she can't do anything about it"
