I wasn't knocking Stone, or even comparing them. My opinion is if we don't bring in a new no 1 keeper, Aiden will already have improved under training from Carlo Nash - who i rate highly. So I would definitely be comfortable with waiting for a new #1

Didnt think you were knocking Stone, should Blackman be signed he would have to prove himself, either would improve with coaching and regular games.   Whether we go for an instant No 1 is another option, I am with you on that.

He's more of a creative / attacking midfielder isn't he? So, in that sense, could be a replacement for Jake Taylor and competition / cover for Conlon.

I would love this as he is quality… but I can’t see it.

Crewe fan I know says he is absolutely quality  and that he's been on trial at Championship clubs and top end League 1 - Ipswich apparently.

Last he mentioned the other day was Wrexham were offering 4k

Without Stone’s Penalty Save we wouldn’t even have got to Wembley.

Which ever Goalkeeper we sign, in my opinion Stone has to be Number 1 to start the season and any new signing should be told that they start as Number 2.

We should then get the right type of character that suits the Process.

I think that's quite harsh. Two bad errors at Wembley, yes, but he improved a lot through the second half of the season. I would like to see him improve distribution significantly, but the signs are good that he is capable of pushing on at 23 (tomorrow). I wouldn't be concerned if he was still first-choice - but I do agree that I would like some very strong competition for him (and it sounds like he will get some.)
