Vale Park Capacity

For the club to make such a statement "sold out for the first time since 1990" and then announce 8700 home fans is nothing short of pathetic

I agree. We had more against Burton and Northampton. If that’s all our stadium can house now we need serious improvements or let us have the Hamil end all next season.

You’ve missed my point. The restrictions we’ve seen today relate to the lack of proportional facilities such as toilets, exits, turnstiles, so how will it be safe for 25,000 to use the same facilities deemed unsafe for 14,700 football fans? So proportionally there will be even less facilities per attendee.

Temporary porta loos.

Let me just add that there are other reasons for the capacity issue on the railway stand and paddock.

All the seats fail H&S and will need to be replaced. This is to do with the metal work that supports the seats.

in addition the steel structure holding the roof is also a concern.

it is likely that the RS will be condemned this coming season until the works have been carried out.

This is addition to the other issues raised.

frankly I find it difficult to understand but this is apparently fact.

Would make sense as behind the stand there’s currently no concourse.  The gym is there I think.

Who or what is preventing us from having the Hamil as our home end?  Why do we pander to paltry away fans by giving them a 4500 seater stand? We have to have a mind set change on the stadium. At the very least simply divide the Hamil in 2 and spend money on correcting the facilities. Other Clubs do this.

Next SC meeting, this needs to be asked about and a full answer expected. Home sell out and it turned out to be 8700. Ignoring the family stand there's got to be 15,000 home seats. -1500 new LS without a concourse and that'a still 13,500. Absolute nonsense.

Very true. Programmes pre Covid stated our capacity as 20,552. In fact many sources including wiki still do.

It didn’t even look half full in the Bycars. Add all the empty Lorne Street , family stand, corner of railway etc and that is a ground far from half possible capacity.

Did many a favour declaring that shambles a sell out however…

Nope. Never put them in. No real concourse, toilets or anything else. Aside from sticking in the seats, it has been the same since pre Smurfwaite.
