There’s a more than decent chance six of that team won’t even be part of teams that make the playoffs.

Suppose the issue with picking Vale players is by and large I don’t think any of ours are at the top for individual stats in most categories and it’s all about working as a team so hard to stand out. Garrity is a bit unlucky though having got double figures from midfield and Proctor if he had a full season would surely be up there too.

Is that the one where the votes are sent in at the start of the year? If so, we were on a bad run then and looked out of it. 

On that note, I can't understand the urgency/need to vote on the team of the season when the season hasn't finished.

The problem is nobody has massively stood out for vale stats wise like Telford has for Newport. Alot of ours have been injured at some point during the season or we haven't kept enough clean sheets or individual player hasn't scored or assisted enough. Perhaps garrity is unlucky with 11 goals from midfield but Wilson and proctor arnt going get in as strikers with about 12 each for the season. We have used 3 different keepers so none of them would get in and hall was only at vale half the season so unlikely to get in aswell.

As others have said we have a great team/squad and aren't reliant on individuals. Hence why we are fourth despite suffering a raft of injuries all season long.

Well done to former players McKirdy and Clarke on their individual success. Remarkable to be one of the best player in League Two at the age of 40.
