I'll be praying to the football gods before Monday.

I don't care how we do it but winning the next two games are crucial.

Even if we have to play dirty sh**ehouse football and dive at every opportunity for a peno( due a few this season)

Even yet , lock Dom Telford in the changing rooms before kick off, bribe the ref with oatcakes , titanic beer and stokes finest ladies of the night.

In all seriousness. The lads can win these next two games , we certainly have the squad for it. Just need to concentrate and not give stupid goals away

I'm not one for Superstition but I feel not having a penalty all season may give us luck hopefully when it comes to these crunch games.

Monday can't quick enough

Coutts was their ninth red card of the season.

What do you expect with a manager like Barton?

He took them down last season and now the majority of their fans are saying they love him?

What a horrible person. The world will only have to put up with him till June 23rd

Just been having a count up of tickets for sale in bycars for Mondays game ,no more than 500 left hope they get sold come matchday .

No idea how many Newport bringing but fair play to those who come .

I'm not used to seeing Vale do well on last home games I think the last one what was memorable was a 7-2 win v Morecambe .

Seen so many no shows its unbelievable

We better show Monday

I've just seen the pitch invasion on quest. God i hope they don't get 3rd, talk about premature

Good motivation for the other teams in the promotion race to get results that.

Shove that on the dressing room wall Monday telling the boys “these think they are up already” and use it.

In all terms though it’s two massive games, today has given us another chance and it’s important Monday we take that.

It will be very difficult to win at Exeter but we’ve had some huge results and performances away this season, Burton, FGR, Salford, Swindon so with our away form and performances against some good sides we can go there and do it.

First though we must focus on Monday and get that job done, if we don’t win autos is over realistically, if we lose we could lose our play off spot which would be crazy.

Looks like with Sutton taking a belting today a draw would now be enough for top 7.

Totally agree with you...and we need to win in a big way to boost gd cause that could make all the difference

No, goal difference isn't important now.. Vale need to win both remaining matches which will give us 81pts. Only Mansfield can reach 81 and they will need to make up 8 goals in 2 matches, pretty nigh impossible.

If we get a win and a draw, that will give us 79 pts but Bristol Rvrs will get to 80 beating Scunthorpe.

Not very often you get 3 bites at the cherry, Vale. Monday is our 3rd & final bite after failing to take advantage of Bristol at home & then Walsall last week.

Take the chance Vale. I'm now comfortable in the knowledge that if we don't get automatic promotion it's probably not deserved over the 46 games. No team can bottle 3 x chances & deserve to go up automatically.

Let's enjoy Monday, back the boys & go for 3 points to leave us with an exciting yet very difficult last day! Let's get the place buzzing, the boys need us.

UTV.

watched the Orient v Northampton malt h from last Saturday, they were everything we were not at Walsall, fast, decisive straight from the off. Hope I am wrong but I cannot see Northampton slipping up.

If we win our last 2 we're up regardless of what Northampton do!...unless Mansfield win both theirs and manage to swing the GD in their favour by (probably) 7 goals?

Exactly my point before what that brizzle result as done has meant we now need 2 wins for automatic promotion. A win and a draw or even just a win may have done it with our goal difference depending on the Mansfield and Northampton results. Both have tricky fixtures to come. Anyway we need to concentrate on beating newport I have faith but a repeat of the previous 2 performances and I'm afraid we wont even get a point. Its really hard to see vale winning both these games following on from these performances.

They have to be put to bed. I was unfortunately one of the ones at Colchester,  a dreadful performance.

2 weeks later in front of a baying Bradford crowd we gave an accomplished away performance,  yes we hung on at the end but overall we were excellent.

What's gone has gone. We are certainly more than capable of winning both, likewise could lose both. That's league 2 for you.

With the mentality the squad has shown I really hope and expect the last two games to be history come 3-00 Monday.

It's in our hands and it's a 4 horse race not a one horse race as Bristol rovers appear to think. Anyone ruling Northampton out is foolish.
