A promotion charge in tinpot league 2 is remarkable? Am I imagining the 45 odd seasons spent at Championship level and attendances this season that are bigger than the total capacity of quite a few grounds in this league?

What is remarkable is it’s still going after the decimating injuries and then losing DC. It still going is incredible particularly in the context of the latter. But if everything was otherwise normal we should expect to be a towards the top end of this league of pub teams having to open our 4500 capacity away end to accommodate a minibus full on a Saturday afternoon.

Yes your right what you say I suppose it isn't remarkable but it's a damn sight better than what half hearted rubbish we have had to endure for many seasons (the highlight of one was a 4-1 defeat v Man City and a season end prematurely because of covid ).

Be nice go a  final home game and see some effort I mean I could go on v Mansfield 0-3 no effort it was a shambles v Carlisle 1-2 v Walsall 0-5 .

We sold out Lorne Street on sat when we start selling out areas in our ground more regularly then I will believe we have turned the corner .

8 to go every game has something riding on it .

It's massive as fail then its a seasons work up the swanny succeed and we could be getting 4500 away followers in the ground Derby Sheffield Wed and Bolton for starters .

So important we have the backing of the support now .

WE CAN Do this the motivation should be that  Sutton will bring 129 and Exeter 273 etc we want better do we not

You sell the tickets while you are doing well .

OK if  we lose the next 7 do you think 1300 Vale fans are going rack up at Exeter

No defo not so buying them straight from Exeters website really was it such a big deal when nothing is set in stone ,do you really think for example me not being a away game in the league all season is going want get a ticket and go that one away game No I ain't being away all season so even though I'd like be there I will not be going out of respect for those who do go regularly .

1300 come on we struggling sell 643 for Barrow .

We are not a big club at all so what's happening on the pitch is remarkable just shows something small can blossom into something special due to tremendous owners.

Try sell out all the games but with everything going up understand that people have to live

Only 11 tickets for Barrow left when I went to pick up mine today.

I have just had an email from Exeter City:

Dear xxxx

We would like to further apologise for the website glitch that has caused unnecessary stress and confusion for you all. We are working with Port Vale on this issue and still looking into the early sale of tickets and will be in touch by Thursday evening with a further update. ECFC Ticketing

No mention of a refund though...

I got that yeah.

Not before I’d tried to email the ticketing@… address they gave on Monday’s email. It bounced.

According to somebody who rang Exeter this morning they’re blaming Vale now for ‘moving the goalposts’.

It sounds very much like they would prefer to keep the money and honour the tickets, or at least not have to do the admin involved with handing the money back.

Oh well, it’s only football fans I suppose. Not real customers.

Current EFL rules are as follows (usual allocation 2000 or 10% of capacity to be available)

34.3.2    Clubs are required to sell tickets for their away matches if required to do so by the Home Club and similarly Home Clubs are required to supply tickets for their Home Matches to the Away Club for sale by the Away Club to its supporters if so requested by the Away Club.  These tickets are to be made available on a sale or return basis and must be ordered by the Away Club at least five weeks before the League Match to which they relate.  The Home Club must deliver those tickets to the Away Club at the latest four weeks before the League Match to which they relate.  Where any match is arranged at shorter notice the above steps shall be taken as soon as is reasonably practicable.  Visiting Supporters should also have the same opportunity to take advantage of pre-booking discounts that apply to home supporters.

Seems that Exeter jumped the gun?

I wonder if Exeter have discovered the cost to them of refunding around 400 tickets via credit card and are a little less enthusiastic about it now.

Where has this number of 400 come from?  I’d be very surprised if that many were sold in the short window they appear to have been on sale.  If it is that many then 100% Exeter should issue refunds.  On the other hand if it’s only a hundred or so then good luck to those who bought them, not that I’m one of those lucky few.

Anyone know when the Walsall tickets are on sale? Only reason I ask is Swindon who go there last day have already apparently sold out their allocation for that game and we’ve had nothing so far.

Yes very strange. All 1514 sold..They went on sale on March 22nd.

Maybe Walsall and Vale are discussing a larger allocation?

Ok, not seen that.  I’d have to question the figure 400, unless it was possible for individual fans to buy a large quantity in one go.

Don't know about the figure of 400. But i can vouch a mate of mine got 7 tickets for us, ironically we are all season ticket holders.

So maybe there were a few people buying in multiples ?
