A win for Mansfield means they would go above us into fourth place with a game in hand, whereas a win for Salford wouldn't move them from eleventh place.

I do feel 3rd place is between us, Bristol Rovers ,Northampton and Mansfield. I can't help thinking the number of games still be played might just catch up with Mansfield. Going to be difficult a schedule for them.

Don't see Salford in the mix at all but you never know.

We doing OK 4th with 8 go lots of work to do to get in play offs (which was the objective I believe the club set the players management etc ).

But why stop there i am looking at the opposition and thinking top 3 is very achievable

The impressive thing about sat is once we scored the two goals we didn't get ourselves sent off and I feel we didn't really get out of first gear afterwards .

Not looking at  other teams we need focus on getting wins on the board if we do that we will either be 2nd or 3rd but we must maintain our discipline and not give leg ups to any the 8 remaining teams if we do not  we have the quality and class to finish the job as when at full tilt there's no better side than Vale but I feel we are just doing enough at present in order finish 2nd or 3rd we need to up it significantly.

So after last night's results the we are left with four games against teams in the top half of the league and the rest against teams in the bottom half.I reckon another four wins and two draws are enough for the play-offs but I'm looking a bit higher than that.UTV

How many do you think we need for automatic?

Yep. I think that's about right. No team on 63 is going to win every game from here on in. 5 wins two draws, or 6 wins to make it more comfortable! Tough but not impossible.

Since 1995/96 the average number of points required for the third automatic place as been 78.2 points.

Matty Stevens has done his ACL so will be unavailable for Forest Green's games against our rivals. Lets hope they have enough without him to continue winning games.

Sod it, let's win the league now
