Chelsea have claimed that their FA Cup quarter final at Middlesbrough should be played behind closed doors because their fans can't buy tickets.

Chelsea say that "the game should be played behind closed doors, with sporting integrity at risk as they cannot sell tickets to their fans for this match".

Middlesbrough owner Steve Gibson replied "Sporting integrity and Chelsea FC do not belong in the same sentence". 🤣

Chelsea have now withdrawn their request that the game v 'Boro is played behind closed doors !!

40 x 1st class rail tickets and an over night stop at the best hotel in Middlesbrough would come to circa 16k not the 60k travelling expenses Chelsea suggest and if it's that important why don't the millionaire players pay for their own travel ?
