I can’t remember the last time I’ve been this angry after a game. Everyone could see from the start the team selection and formation was wrong YET AGAIN.

And lo and behold, just as everyone predicted. We were <ovf censored> <ovf censored>. Utter disgrace. The players and coaches should be ashamed.

Last time I looked we were not that far off the playoffs with games in hand

we have 4 home games coming up in next 6

 season over? Get a grip

Five points adrift of the play offs and two of the teams above us have a game in hand. If the squander them like we have then it’s still a tall order when we are only creating one or two ‘on target’ chances in 90 minutes.

Worst result and performance of the season. When did these last win?

I said in January that we had gone backwards and was castigated. The business was largely appalling and it is showing. No one has improved us at all to any proper extent. Cooper for Politic is a disgraceful attempt at a transfer.

Embarrassing. Longest run in the bottom tier since rationing, but the fans are at fault for wanting more than one Top 6 finish in the last thirty years.

A bad January has thrown away a cracking chance at promotion, and there’s no guarantee we improve next season. Very disappointing.

Do one of your 'I told you so' flounce/ dummy-spitting posts again, it was really funny last time.

mate I agree, shed loads to play for, but its that we are progressively playing worse each game - - at the end of the day, its just a game, but its a really frustrating game on days like today

Quite a bold thing to do when the formation clearly isn’t working

Don't they say its a sign of madness to keep trying the same thing over and over again and you get the same result.  Crossby and Co just not learning and will no doubt say we will learn from this result and bounce back.

Fans are now waiting for you and co to learn from these games and bounce back.

Hall and Hussey are great signings.

we swapped Lloyd for other kids so lesson not learnt there. Surely their wages combined could have got a better striker?

How can we end up with 3 goalkeepers but still look 'thin' in midfield and up front?

How you getting on with that ‘Port Vale Promotion 2022 bunting’ @Iron Curtain??

No rush for May.

Yeah not looking great… I would have stuck with the 352 formation myself.

Going to need something significant to happen to get us back in the race.

That said…

The club is in good hands, there is a better foundation for success than we have had for a VERY long time and rumour has it we get to have another go next year.

I have said for a while that I never thought that promotion first time of asking was a “must achieve.”

Add to that the awful times the club has had this year and I’m not despondent… others have their own timelines of course.

They wouldn't even learn that fact - ball sticks in soggy pitches due to the amount of water in the soil.  They would still believe that the ball would bounce in soggy pitches from the hoof balls up the pitch.

When was the last time Worrall played well?

Super. When was the last time DW was allowed to play as an out and out right winger, not having to play all down the right from back to front. He’s burnt out.Gibbo and DW were absolutely fantastic down the right. A total understanding of each other’s game. The left side has been weak, we’ve brought players in to play on the left but for some reason they’ve either not been of the standard we thought they were or they’ve just been overlooked, which as resulted in breaking up the Gibbo and DW partnership and shipping Gibbo to the left. Where he has imo performed magnificently.
