Good points for me- Plenty of effort, great away support, we came back from a goal down, good goal, great effort from Wilson.

Improvements required- Holy's distribution, Walker can't play CB, vulnerable to pace, dead balls we have specialists but frustrating delivery at times, still need to get more out of Wilson as a good touch player, can't finish teams off, Pett indifferent for a few games, Amoo before Cooper.

Disappointed but we go again.

I agree with most of what you say apart from I thought Cooper had his best game in a Vale shirt tonight.

The biggest issue for me is who is the guy to create us something out of nothing to go and win us a game? Who is going to take the game by the balls and win it for us?

We don’t have a Politic or JMW type player. We don’t have a Pope from the promotion season.

Against the likes of Mansfield or Exeter it’s likely that we are going to need someone to win the game for us. Or someone to create a spark or excitement.

Going against the grain, I thought we pretty much dominated them tonight, and played some good stuff, particularly in the second half. We didn't create many clear cut chances, but we were well worthy of the point, and probably 3. Cooper and Wilson were my bright sparks tonight. Both played very well,,particularly Wilson when he was coming deeper in the second half. Now unbeaten in 9, 6 points off 3rd with at least 1 game in hand on all but 2. Don't get the 'season over' comments, yet again.

Agee with you mate, thought we were the better team. The much maligned Cooper looked lively and created our best chances and Edmondson put in a good shift and took his goal well.

There is still a long way to go. It’s League 2 in the middle of winter, I’m sure most teams aren’t playing scintillating football.

After the <ovf censored> we’ve gone through over the last few years I’m shocked at the fickle nature of our fans and the lack of will to get behind us until the bitter end.

We are still firmly in the mix for promotion. Let’s back them. UTV

That's my point. He's not had a lot of minutes in a side that doesn't score much. No impact. He started brightly but hasn't featured since.

I don't understand. He started well but hasn't had many minutes since? That is a selection issue. I'd say he looked good in the 352. We've been pretty impotent since the switch to 343.

Yes we didnt create a load of clear chances but thought our general play was excellent we looked really comfortable bar a ten min spell for them. We got into really dangerous positions numerous times and played a lot of balls into decent areas. Thought out of the two teams we were good for the three points

I thought we were the better side, certainly but didn’t create enough to win the game. Looked dangerous at times but nothing in that final 3rd imo

7th in the form table over the last 6. I agree that we can be much better but we're 6 points off 3rd place with 2 games in hand. Plus games in hand on a couple of others. We're also 9 unbeaten which is not to be sniffed at.

We just need to find a way of playing to suit who we have available until Conlon comes back. We would have turned some of these draws into wins with him in the side.

Whoever plays in this supposed front 3 it just doesn’t work. Wilson was shoved out wide in the last few games and now Edmondson today. Why?

The midfield needs a change. Pett to drop out for me. He’s far too ineffective. However, the other options are hardly inspiring either. Might be worth giving Walker, Charsley and Garrity a go.

The back 3 hasn’t worked since Cass and Jones stopped playing. We still persist with it every single week. Would we seriously be worse trying 4 at the back?

I don’t get this back 3 either. Every team we have played against leave Smith as the player on the overload. Why? Because he is clueless as an attacking force. One of the best defensive players in the league but Franco Baresi he is not.

I like Hall but we have lost the quick switch in our play by not having Jones back there. We just get stuck with balls played over the top by Hall. This back 3 does not work with these players.

Wlison….why oh why is he not  playing off a striker in the middle of the pitch. Get him into space ball at his feet and he can create. Especially when we don’t have Conlon. Honestly our coaches have become are so bloody blinkered about playing 3 CB’s

We could go unbeaten to the end of the season and miss out on the play-offs if all we do is draw games. Played some really poor teams recently too. My biggest frustration is that we've stopped playing football and gone to the classic "hit the line, box them in" - that means we're feeding off scraps all the time.

What good have games in hand done us? I don’t think we’ve won one. We’ve been 9th /10th for weeks now and still talking about games in hand. We could easily be cemented in the play offs.

Also, the unbeaten run means little. We’d be a lot better off losing more but winning more.

Yes, I’m being negative and it’s annoying me but it feels like we could be throwing away a great opportunity.

How many have we won or even looked like we could win? We create very little in matches.

We are playing really boring % football which will get you no further than mid table.

We aren’t going to loose many games  but we are never going to win many either playing this way.

On the balance of play 1-1 was a fair result but I'd have been over the proverbial moon if Wilson's strike had gone in.

Games are won and lost in midfield and our central midfield is just not good enough to win enough games to get Vale in the promo spots.

Vale need Conlon and Jake Taylor back asap.
