What does this guy have to do to earn a place in the side?

Joint-top number of assists, alongside Conlon.

Put two chances on a plate last night for Worrall and Wilson. In just an 18-minute cameo.

He actually runs at the opposition (check out the highlights for those two chances mentioned above).

I feel for him. He'll doubtless not be offered a new contract in June and I cannot fathom why, within such a low-scoring team (16 goals in 15 games), Clarke/Crosby are reluctant to play someone who increases our ability to score goals. Remember the second half at Crawley? Brought on at half-time, created two goals and scored one himself.

We need him on the wing, creating chances for Proctor and Wilson. Vale are going nowhere with such a defensive set up.

I think in the managements negative set up he’s not considered good enough defensively

He has to start in place of Cooper. There’s no way Cooper is a better player than Amoo. It’s hard for Amoo as well, majority of games this season out of position, play well one week then dropped, then back in. He needs a run of games playing as a winger.

I do think a front three of Amoo, Proctor and Wilson would be a good combination, especially if Wilson was dropped back behind Amoo and Wilson. You've then got someone intelligent who can play the ball behind a pacy tricky player and a big unit who can hold the ball up. Surely that combination will cause defences problems at our level.

Yes surprised Wilson has not played the role again he played at Carlisle and him being so effective that night

Not a low scoring team over the season, just recently. We are 8th highest scorers in the league. I do agree we need to change something about what we are doing now, be a bit more attacking at least. It served us well at the start of the season the games were full of goals.

Amoo like so many of our players always seem better when they are not playing and come off the bench.  2 games ago, everyone was saying Cooper how well looked in his little cameo subs and now he is worse than Hurst.  Amoo who I like but when he starts games has to be one of the most frustrating players in recent years.  He for me is an impact player who is best when coming off the bench and defenders are tiring, never seems to do it when he starts games.  The issue was that losing Politic was a massive loss and he was not properly replaced.

Amoo or Worrall as part of a 3? I know this thread is about Amoo, but it would  be Woz every time for me.

Amoo has been with us for 3 years or more ?

The one thing that stands out is that he is not the answer to our problems. Hes had several games this season and in 20 minute spells he has done ok. More that that !!! Not for me. Did sound that he had a better spell last night but hes not the one to start on Saturday

You never know what you are going to get. He's either ok or very poor.

He is one squad player that has to be improved on next season

Thought that Amoo livened us up when he came on and on an action per minute result versus Cooper's on this occasion was far greater.

He has the build and speed to trouble defenders but maybe likes aggression and doesn't use his physicality?

For me, can't operate as a striker, he is a winger who won't get many games due to our shape.

Unfortunately for me, he will be released at the end of the season.
