Just noticed Hussey isn’t starting. Think that’s madness myself. Best source of assists for a side already struggling to score misses out. Not sure what amoo has to do to get a start either.

I'm sat in car just listening on Federation Road to RS . Yates reckons as its at home they've gone for a more up and at em approach with energy .

But I agree it's a surprise with his assists .

I don’t think it’s madness regarding hussey at all. He is a really good player and his assists have come from setpieces, but from open play we have been a totally different side since he came into the team and by that I mean he doesn’t press as much, get behind as much, he tends to stay back more, doesn’t take risks and generally isn’t as dynamic a player as Worrall or gibbo are.  I think that’s why Crosby specifically spoke about those things in this weeks press conference and I think that’s why he wants to use gibbo and Worrall. Think back to  how we were playing with those 2 flying before Christmas and look at us now. I’m not saying that Gibbo and Worrall will automatically come in today and rip them apart, I hope they do, but the wingbacks are so important to how we set up and pretty much everything on that left hand side ends up being played in front of their defence purely because of the player Hussey is. That’s not a knock on his ability because he’s a very good player, but I think we need something different when we need to be winning games using this system. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the 3 wingbacks rotated over the next few weeks anyway with games coming sat and Tuesday.

Yeah to me at home if we are going to be about playing with energy and pace Hussey for all his obvious strengths is not suited to that. One of the benefits of us having these quality options at wingback anyway is to rotate and keep them fresh. Especially at his age it won’t do Hussey any harm have a little break.

Hussey is good at corners. That's it. No pace, offers nothing going forward. Don't like Wozza at RWB and it shows how much we miss Cass as he offered protection and made good runs going forward.

That's the negatives.

Positives? Three attackers so one should score.

Garrity has been my player of the season so far.

Hall has been a good solid signing.

Hopefully a win today and then on to the next one

Take Tuesday as an example at rochdale, tight pitch and they sat behind the behind the ball and the wingbacks had no room to go anywhere. It’s horses for courses, but how we play with hussey /Worrall or hussey / gibbo when compared to gibbo and Worrall on the pitch is totally different. Surely that’s a fairly obvious observation on how we’ve played this season? A wingback needs to do more than just have a great delivery from setpieces and I know how much us Vale fans get blinkered by someone who’s putting crosses in. But one other big piece of the puzzle that’s missing is Conlon linking in the final third.

He’s a very good player. He didn’t get in team of the season last year and play every single game for a side mid table in league 1 by being crap.

I’ll take assists over running about. For me personally if we’re insistent on a back 5 and the 3 cb as they are. I would leave Worrall out. He’s been pretty poor for weeks and created nothing going forwards. Hussey is an excellent crosser of the ball not just set pieces.

I don't think he's crap,I just think he offers nothing going forward.

We've scored 3 in the last 5 games,2 from his corners. I think he would suit as a full back in a 442 formation.

I do agree with your opinion on Wozza and it shows how well he and Cass combined.

What concerns me is we are back to Wilson and Proctor but have no Conlon or Politic to provide creativity.

I'll take any sort of a win today
