Good point in the context of the game, of course it is. But disappointing given its another poor performance (note DC’s comments last week which were even more scathing). So why are we putting in poor performances against sides we NEED to be beating to have any chance of promotion (we don’t have any now in my opinion)??

I think January will again cost us dear. Firstly, don’t know what he was like today, but Hall was an amazing bit of business.

But Hussey…. a bit undecided, one brilliant game (FGR) and the rest bang average. Not what we needed IMO.

Harratt and Edmundson…. could say the same, not had enough influence has might be expected from too youth teamers. Not what we needed IMO.

Cooper…. not had many minutes, but from the comments on here I got the impression he was poor. Winger so difficult to see how he even fits into how we play. Not sure.

Charlsley…. what is he?? Just someone who runs around after the ball, like a poor version of Callum Guy for me. Is a squad player? Seems too ‘big signing’ a to be that. Not what we needed IMO.

What we needed was a midfield playmaker and a proven striker because we are very shy on creativity.

in the promotion season we signed Hughes and Purse and both we key to getting us over the finishing line.

Completely agree. Swapping Legge for Hall was amazing business. Hussey is fine and reliable but I'd still have Gibbons over him, as I feel Gibbo is a bigger threat at left-back than he is at right-back. The rest of the January signings look to be just making up the numbers really and I thought and hoped we had gone beyond that.

Fair result for me, didn't look a great deal between the teams. Game played at 100mph wanting someone to put their foot on the ball from either team and add a touch of quality.

At last some quality from Gibbo, two Premier league crosses into their box one of which Proctor scored from.

In the absence of Conlon and Taylor and if Vale must play 3 at the back in a 3-4-3 then for the Rochdale game leave out Cooper, push Worrall into the front 3, bring in Gibbo in Worrall's spot and start Proctor.

Gotta get the best players on the pitch and win a few games.

You seem to have a lot to say about a game you haven't watchèd. How you can assert it was "disappointing", or anything else, is bonkers.

No way Hussey will be dropped. His  set-pieces are to valuable and defensively he is very good.We need to find ways to get him into space better to allow him to put deliveries in. He doesn’t have enough pace or a skill to beat a player one on one. I’m convinced we will see more 343 and expect to see Woz playing higher up the pitch but if we do play 352 then Gibbo will play at RCH especially at home.

Result in the end is fine but there's no getting away from the fact that, going forward, it was yet another poor show from us. We've barely created a thing in the last two games, albeit against two very organised sides.

And is there genuinely anyone left that thinks playing Worrall as a wing-back is still a good idea? Either play him in his best position or not at all, because he's been bang average for a while now.

Just a little reminder to those disappointed we aren’t winning and want more attacking.

1/ Look at the last 5 fixtures to  see who we beat and who we have drawn.

2/ Look at the next 5 fixtures.

We have a good run of fixtures now to get back on a winning run. This team is more than capable.

Proctor and Wilson needs to be the starting 2, with the young uns coming on to shield them into the 2nd half. We also need to play Charsley (?) because someone needs to at least attempt to do what Tom could otherwise be doing. In the games coming up it is worth sacrificing some defensive protection for attacking flair because we should not only be winning these games coming up, we should be dominating them.

What did them 2 sides create that are both in the automatics

But thats worrying about what they are doing. I couldn't care less about what Northampton and Tranmere created and didn't create. Because I've not once said that we aren't a difficult team to beat currently. But it would be clear to Stevuie Wonder what our side is and has been lacking for weeks now. Yes, we're missing Conlon but he can't just be our only creative influence. And even he was struggling a bit of late due to not being 100% fit.
