I expect it will be more of the same from Saturday. Keep it tight and try to nick a goal, it’s a must not loose game rather must win.

Can’t see us playing any other way unless DC/AC have identified a specific weakness to exploit.

Let’s hope the boys put in a performance for the gaffer.

We’ve got to start being positive and go out to win the game draws aren’t much use as we tend to slip up sometimes against the struggling side’s utv

Completely agree we need to go after teams a bit more but I don't think tomorrow is the game to do it. We can't afford to be hit with a sucker punch against these. If they score 1st they tend to close the game out and win.

It won’t matter to him, he got the money he blackmailed them for by threatening to put us into administration?

Then you'd ask the question as to why he's sponsored the game specifically against us, if it all doesn't matter?

The darkness that makes the sunshine all the brighter at Vale Park these days. Forget the name and look to the future. I’m just glad we didn’t have to tread water with a lukewarm owner between the worst in our history and the best in the football league; just straight to the top, catapulted from the sewer.

Tranmere mate reckons there are is no truth in the Blue one buying their club. I told him I hope so for Tranmeres sake. After all Smurf has no interest in football, his words.

I do feel sorry for  you Tranmere. If you Let him buy your club .  Stay clear of him .

...the absolute worst-case scenario for Smurthwaite on Saturday is complete indifference; a fanbase who has moved on and forgotten him, and is much happier with better owners, casting his dark tenure into the recesses of memory. A win and a chant of Carol's name would wound him deeply; giving him (deserved) dog's abuse is what he's looking for and is the precise thing he's hoping to hear.

Totally agree with you, Joe - he has no valid reason to be there except to get the Vale fans chanting his name...no matter what the context. Turn your backs on him - ala Man City fans - and top of your voices sing for Carol and Kevin...no mention of Smurthtwat would really piss him off!
