Thanks PFVC, that's exactly what I normally do and it always used to work. I live in the US so it may be the BBC don't transmit the sports programme/Praise and Grumble to the US anymore hence I get this rolling verbal message.

Me thinks Praise in Grumble will soon be transmitted by iFollow with a corresponding increase in iFollow subscription.

Your not missing much in P&G.  Crewe fans not happy.  Sjoke fans are thinking they are the best side in the league.  Not sure there has been a Vale fan on yet.

17.44 the first Vale fan comes on. 🤣

Same here in NL tonight. A bit odd as the wife is currently listening to BBC R2.

Not much of a game. One of those oh well we didn't lose games. Combination of we didn't play well, they didn't let us play as we like, and we were a bit conservative. So were they, clearly happy with a point.

Time to start playing with wingers at home and trying to actually win games intead of not lose them. I'm sure the last thing Northampton would want is the likes of Cooper and Amoo running at them.

It's all a bit too slow and safe.

Said this multiple times today. It was so, so disappointing watching our slow and lethargic play.

Poor conditions, poor pitch, poor… no dreadful officials, very poor game. They were better than us tbf, but that’s not saying much.

We played too much percentage football, decision making was generally poor and the ball was like a hot potato in our possession, just needlessly hoofed into the channels without any thought hoping for someone to chase it down. They at least tried to play it around. Our play is just too static, they played in triangles so there is always an out ball, whereas we got blocked off, check, go backwards and all momentum goes out of the move. Very frustrating and we looked a long way off a top 3 team today.

Also, what is it with our goalies when kicking from the Bycars End?? The number of times Holy put it into touch on the Lorne St side was ridiculous. And this is not just today.

That’s as poor a officiating as I’ve seen for some time. I can’t fathom way on Earth that was not a red when Harratt was clean in on goal. Complete bottle job. Generally got nothing from him, he fell for all their antics (why wasn’t the guy even booked for shoving Smith over the hoardings???) and wanted it to be all about him. Like I said, in another life the perfect traffic warden.

Martin gives me the eebie jeebies but Conor Hall for Legge was an incredible piece of business. How CH didn’t get MoTM is beyond me, streets ahead of anyone else on the pitch. Charsley is not a game-changer, just looks like Garrity without the goal threat and is a wasted signing for me.

We’ve lost the ability to win tight games against the better sides and that’s the automatics completely out of the window for me. The play-offs, whilst showing progress, would be a disappointment as I think there are more streetwise teams that get the better of us. We’ll see.

I'm sick of hearing about the pitch as an excuse. Look at the football played by Port Vale Football Club in a certain FA Cup replay in the 90s against Sjoke. The pitch wasn't great that night but the football was sublime!

We were almost as bad as Northampton today because we played three centre backs at home against a negative away side, with Woz, one of the most creative players in the EFL, spending most of the match in his own half.

Fair enough, keep it tight until half time, but that second half was awful. Far too negative.

Boring match and frustrating because we didn't even have a 10-15 minute spell where we "had a go" to try and win the game. A corner in injury time was about as exciting as it got.

Total rubbish, wish I'd stayed in the pub.

We have some exciting, creative players sat on the bench. No doubt we won't use them very often and then they'll sign for some Serie B Italian teams in the summer. 🙄
