I see it as the body blows of injuries and poor form were hitting us hard, and having one eye on comings and goings in the transfer window made it hard to stabilise. Now we’ve got the squad in place, we’ve stopped the rot and Tuesday was a real turnaround performance. We’re slowly building up a good run again and we’re just at the start of returning to our true selves from earlier in the season. Win at Salford and the table, future prospects and the window business all look promising.

I don't think it's unfair to point out that our scoring rate has dropped a fair bit, mostly due to injuries.

We've scored 11 in our last 11 league games, and only 3 in our last 5 since the restart. We'd scored 27 in 15 before that. Major difference.

Whilst corner goals and Harratt's wonder goal vs Swindon are useful and of course count as much as a tap in, they're not sustainable over a long period of games and need to be replaced with your more 'standard' goals.

Wilson continues to look fitter (though not as a proper striker, more of an attacking midfielder) and the young lads are certainly useful, so maybe we will pick up again.

The concern for me remains that Wilson was holding his lower back + limping in the second half on Tuesday, and basically disappeared from the game after an excellent first half. We need him to stay fit for the rest of the season and he doesn't really have the track record to suggest he can do so (never played more than 25 league games in a season).
