Ridiculous initial allocation, Salford away.

Why oh why have we only got 814 tickets for the initial allocation for Salford? We were given 1,400 last time and we could have sold double.

This is one of the first truly close away fixtures in the league this season, and once again we've got a Monday release which will sell out by lunchtime with people queuing for hours on end, with people turned away because we've only got half of the capacity of the away end to sell.

The club MUST go back to Salford and have them send the full allocation immediately. Not taking this action would be another failure on crowd management by those who run the club.

No chance we'll take less than 1,000. I know quite a few people who couldn't get tickets last time, so intend to go as its a new ground. We all know Vale fans love a booze up, so Manchester away days are very popular. We've got loads of mid-week away matches too, so opportunities for a close away day by train are minimal. Farcical scenes.

How many did we take to Oldham? We're not going to take less than half to Salford when it's £15 a pop? Needs sorting out now so Carol isn't wasting Monday morning dishing out hot drinks and apologising to people.

Apparently we can have some more tickets WHEN we sell out. I can understand Salford doing this for teams a fair way away, but not us, that's plain stupid. Anyone in the Salford ticket office should have known at the start of the season that  Vale, Tranmere, Bradford and Oldham would easily sell over 1000 for their game there irrespective of results. Just means queues for the first sale then another one when the rest arrive.

Some Northern Quarter boozes and maybe a rice and three for dinner then taxis up Bury New Road past all the fake handbag shops.

Fantastic summary of manchester right there. Within 1 mile you can go from fancy craft ales, to rice and three and then the bazaar that is Bury New Road.
