Match Thread: Port Vale v Swindon Town

I agree with the post about at times Vale for some reason in first half of games are not proactive however that's fine if you playing a team with no threats who are poor in forward areas but take for example sat versus a team who have threats who score consistently then you in trouble and getting to half time will not make hell of a lot of   difference if  3 down like we may have being on another day .

So we need start faster and go with second half tactics from the off get the game comfortably won first then make changes in areas where we can see the game out with no problems. 

Second halves at times this season have being tremendous however not all teams are going allow us routes back into games if we continue with first half sloppiness

It was up there with Walsall for the standard(from Vale) but Swindon were a better team than Walsall and thoroughly deserved the win.  That said 2 of their goals were a penalty and a deflected own goal, who knows on another day as bad as we were and but for Covolan's sending off it could have been a different 2nd half?

Lets forget it and move on hopefully, plenty of games to go.

Swindon have vastly improved after losing their last three away league games.

I was sitting in the bycars in line with the incident. Mckirdy ran in just in case the ball was dropped. If covolan had not struck out then mckirdy would have passed by the side with no contact. As soon as covolan kicked out I said to a friend that it was a penalty and a red card. I don’t like to say this but that time mckirdy was innocent
