Not sure what Martin has done wrong? Cass at fault for the goal again.

Martin or Cass should have made a challenge, yes very poor ball from Pett (?) but you can’t let somebody run over half the length of the pitch without being challenged, really really bad goal was that. I just don’t think the defence ever looks secure when he plays.

Nothing do with Martin. Cass has to go to him and didn’t, Martin can’t just leave their attacker wide open right in front of the goal. His positioning was all wrong as well (cass) Pett gave it away then cass didn’t challenge. Think everyone hammers Martin but I don’t think he’s been too bad, if people saw him against Forest Green they’d realise he’s a decent defender

No he hasn’t they had a man over so they’re hoping the lad shoots, as soon as cass stepped out he gave them the space they wanted to slide the pass in.

Newport & Northampton both 1-0 down at half time which is good news league-wise, but Tranmere 2-0 up v Walsall, not so good.

Sorry, that should read; Tranmere 2-0 Scunthorpe

And you can tell....not a criticism. Yeah, it was Pett losing the ball needlessly. We are sometimes trying to play like them and we can't. Mind you as long as it stays 1-0 there's always hope!

Yes, it could easily have been 2-3 for them.  Just need to hang in there and wait/hope for an opportunity.  The pitch is better than it was against Spurs.  Not EPL standard but probably not as much of a leveler as it was back then.
