Just had a reply from Vale:
They want me to bring an ltf, as well as my Covid passport to get into the ground...

NHS run out of them this morning.

Not the ones from the chemist(lfts), I got some this morning OK? I think it's if you order the PCR as a home testing kit(could be wrong though?)

We have had covid passports in Austria since the summer. Worked perfectly fine when I went to see Rapid. Showed to the steward and then he checked my ID and I'm in - 30 secs tops.

We also have free testing facilities all over the city, plus free PCR home tests that are done in front of your computer.

The passports aren't the problem, the system is.

On the subject of passports.  I didn't go to Newport as was going to see Shed seven before covid cancelled it.

Did Vale supporters who went get asked for proof ?

Far bigger I know but I went to Wembley and the MEN Arena recently it was an afterthought.

We had to show our passport on the phone but there was no identity check so I could have shown them anybody’s!

We had to show Covid vaccination proof or proof of clear test.

I would think that has something to do with the law. The only people you are obliged to identify to, is the police. So either they would have to have the Old Bill do all the checks, or just trust people…

Don’t know if the law is the same in the UK, but here in Denmark, it’s actually also only the police who can perform body searches or check your bags. But people normally just go along with it, as they have nothing to hide or just want to get in…

Talking of Covid. It would be awful if the Club suddenly had a big outbreak. I'm sure Clarke would be absolutely gutted if several games had to be postponed 😁

Well I hope that we have absoutely no cases at all, this is an awful disease that may well give the majority some very light symptoms, however I really hope as few if any get this and we are at the Vale on Saturday.  I am sure Clarke would be thinking the same as me.

I think the main issue now is will clubs lose the fans again to this. It seems hard from the wording and rhetoric to see a situation where further restrictions won’t be imposed and how far will they go?

Wouldn’t be shocked to see a lockdown period in January once Xmas is out the way. Hopefully I’m wrong and even if restrictions on football grounds come in our large ground would see us maybe able to survive that with x % of capacity rules instead.

So it took 30 seconds to get cleared, I presume that doesn't include the time spent showing season ticket or whatever at the turnstile?

If it happens at VP I can just imagine the queue's and the moaning, especially if its bad weather.

30 seconds does appear absolutely nothing indeed it is .

However even 50 in a queue equates to 25 minutes for spectator number 50.

Freezing or pouring down would put the top hat on things for the less committed fans.
