30 seconds does appear absolutely nothing indeed it is .

However even 50 in a queue equates to 25 minutes for spectator number 50.

Freezing or pouring down would put the top hat on things for the less committed fans.

I don't see any reason why there should be 50 people in a que to get into the ground. This can only be bad planning and management.

Vale fans notorious for last minute. Look at the Tranmere fiasco albeit it was the first home game.

Only the other week the scanners broke again in the Bycars , might of been Hartlepool game.  There was about 25 in a queue half an hour before kick off

I'm afraid when bigger grounds are able to accommodate much bigger crowds than the Vale get the problem can only be organisation and planning.

I don't think covid passports make a difference to if people can't organise enough turnstiles to be open to accommodate a crowd.

That's exactly what I was thinking. 30 seconds for the Covid check, then presenting a season tickets or whatever, it could take nearly a minute per admission.

There’s more than one person doing the checks. One walking down the line looking at passes and then the next one at the head of the queue taking tickets. It shouldnt take that long at all.

The problem is mate and I'm no anti vaxxer or conspiracy theorist. I wear my mask and go for my booster this Sunday.

But it's all lip service so in effect pointless.  I went England v Andorra 73'000 crowd , no entry without a pass or lateral flow.  Just walked straight in, the stewards weren't bothered.

Last week I went to see James at the MEN arena, again basically sporadic to no checks. 15 to 20 thousand crowd.

So all this over 10'000 for the use of a covid pass is just fanciful because people have become apathetic to it including those who are meant to enforce it.

Totally, if its not going to be enforced then whats the point? It just causing unnecessary issues for people just trying to follow the rules. My point was just that the covid passports shouldn't cause an issue to enforce if its done properly - but that starts from being able to access your certificate, getting a test, getting it checked and getting into the ground.

I think everyone wants to be safe and enjoy the game - even Leedsvaliant 😉

I went England v Germany in the Euro's and you had to have one, you had a line of stewards before the turnstile area and they just glanced at it, wasn't majorly detailed in terms of looking at it but took seconds.

You'd just need a couple of stewards checking down the queue before you go in in front of entraces.

When buying a weeks pass on the bus the app turns the camera on so that you can't just show a screenshot of someone else's pass. This makes it fast and simple to check it as they just have to glance at it.

This has been in use for years and means that the driver can check the pass without delay.

The government covid pass has a QR code that can be scanned (presumably on a scanner that is only sold by a tory minister's mate's company). Without buying a scanner you have to check the pass against ID to ensure that it isn't a forgery and even then it would be simple to forge.

Both take time and if you don't want to purchase
costly scanners means that to let people in in a reasonable time you aren't going to perform sufficient checks to ensure that people aren't using other people's passes or expired passes.

The pass is on the NHS app not the Covid app. Considering how long it took them to even set up an app it all seems really poorly thought out.Screenshot_20211215-185701_Dropbox.jpg

Surely having recovered from covid should count towards your covid passport. I`m sure the immunity from having the disease is better than any vaccine.

A lot of countries count this but we dont, when I went Iceland in June you could only enter if vaccinated OR had recovered at the time for example.

Here in Denmark we do, but also don't. All clinical research proves, that you imunity after infection, lasts longer than the vaccine. Yet, your covid passport is valid longer with vaccine, than with infection. Go figure... When you've had Covid and is declared healthy again, your Covid passport is suspended for 2 weeks. So you can't go anywhere, without a test. Once again, go figure...
