There's a lot of energy and keep going till you drop in our side , you look at when we have being hitting the net Tom Pett v Hartlepool 90 th minute David Amoo v Rotherham 87th minute Debnis Politic 79th and 82nd minute v Burton its downright tremendous .

Bring on Bristol Rovers I believe in DC he will find a system for Vale to get shots away v BR come think of it any side .

Team well whoever 👏 I no longer need choose a team I see reliability and will to win within the whole squad .

Keep up the great work Dc and fellow coaches .

My view remains that the next 5 games is about nicking as many points as we can and then reinforcing in January. Stay in touch with the top 3. Clarke has been known to go on daft winning streaks at the end of seasons (see Rovers x2, us last season) - we just need to be in the picture in Feb/March, and get Wilson + Proctor back. No more head losses within the fanbase when we don't win every week.

Walker comes in to steady the midfield, and so we can retain possession better (we looked miles better once we got the ball down v Burton).

Garrity chucked on, effectively up front, if things are tight late on. Clean sheet paramount - nick a goal through Our Dennis and abscond back to Burslem.

Why would Stone be dropped? Thought he could maybe have dealt with the cross that led to their goal but seemed pretty capable otherwise and did enough to keep his place.

Covolan has been our first choice all season and we're 5th with a top 7 defensive record.

To use the argument that 'Stone did enough to keep his place', you'd have to say Covolan shouldn't be dropped as he was coming off a clean sheet v Hartlepool. Works both ways.

You play your best keeper, which in my view is Covolan. Stone is certainly decent and a good prospect, but Lucas has arguably been one of our more steady performers recently and certainly hasn't done enough wrong to lose his place.

They all seem rather confident on their forum for a team in 16th place and with a -7 goal difference. According to them the only reason they aren't top of the table and running away with it is because they didn't have a 20 goal a season striker.

Like most teams in the league, they do have a few very good players for this level though. We need to keep a close eye on Anthony Evans as he has a wand of a foot.

I'd be happy enough with a point tomorrow all things considered. Would love 4 points from the next two but think we could end up with 2.

DC's job to keep them both happy, easier than the days of a dozen goalies in a season.

Just seems weird to chop and change like that.

I would argue that, yes.

Stone is cup keeper, Covolan league keeper I imagine. Standard practice. We're out of the Pizza trophy so Stone has lost potential minutes.

This is what every unsuccessful team says.

'We're a 20 goal a season striker from the playoffs!'.

Just a roundabout way of saying 'we're not very good, but if we created more chances and had better players, then watch out!'.

One day people will realise that '20 goal a season strikers don't exist in League 2 as they are either a) one season wonders or b) move to a championship club or c) old and finished. The sooner we all clock onto this the sooner we can move on from tedious 'proven goalscorer' debates every summer (which I have been foolish enough to engage in before, see Nicky Maynard).
