I really don’t think we can afford to be signing another striker, we’ve just had terrible luck. If we are classing Amoo as a striker we already have 5 on the books, how many do we need? Bear in mind with Proctor, Wilson and Lloyd we currently have 3 forwards out injured (including our starting 2). Any team would struggle in this predicament.

Amoo isn't a striker though as long as he's got a hole in his arse. And although he gives his all and seems a good lad, can we rely on Lloyd as someone who is probably third choice? I don't even count Rodney as a striker right now as most defenders have more goals than he does this season, he's badly out of sorts.

Mate you've been crying about 5 pages worth of posts on the last 3 threads, you literally melt down and cry at the sight of anything not going the way you think it should at a league 2 football team.

Let's meet at Scrimmy's and we can see who the snowflakes are when not behind a keyboard. Happy to take any direct messages.

I do get that today your team have taken a 1-0 against Blackburn though so must be tough to praise Vale on here afterwards.

You're hard.

Sit down, Rambo.

Well just got in ! Frozen stiff! Very happy with three points ultimately with probably  five of our top players out this was not a bad performance. A game of football played in atrocious conditions so well done to both teams , I doff my cap to the travelling Hartlepool fans credit to you  .

We didn’t play well, but I don’t think we needed to. We got the job done and we move on.

I criticised Pett on Tuesday but he was a lot better today. The midfield three just looked more balance today. Walker breaks up play, Pett is the tidy one and Garrity had a license to roam forward and join attacks.

The front pairing doesn’t work, that’s where we’re lacking. Amoo played pretty well to be fair but he never looks like scoring. As for Rodney, he’s never going to be a goal scorer but he had a better game today.

Back to winning ways.

Goals from a midfield many thought couldn’t get.

Home fans get to see a winning performance that dispels midweek.

Goals coming without the goal scoring strikers.

Injuries and suspensions to players most would pick every week.

Changing 2 of the 3 centre backs and still keeping a clean sheet.

Cullen didn’t score.

Daylight between us and 8th.

A bit of time off from the league to get Proctor back.

Good day, the rebuild starts here.

Sound.

For all we've been found out, have no squad depth, and have have ballsed up signing defenders, we're 5th, 2 points off 2nd, and kept a clean sheet today with a new goalkeeper and 3 new centre halves. Strange!

They were diabolical and will be lucky to stay up.

We played worse today than we did against Oldham yet there's significant less head loss. We can't play like we did today against Exeter, but to be missing as many key players and still deliver a routine win is nice.

Hope people can just remember to chill when we put in 1 bad performance next time. Smith, Wilson, Proctor, and Conlon are all key players and we've not really had an issue today.

Lucas Legend, Garrity, Amoo good. Rest did their jobs with minimal fuss and we move on with the 3 points. Johnson is a steady head it defender and we looked far more secure with Walker in the middle.

Good response from Tuesday. Much better work rate and determination from the players.

I felt the result was never in doubt once we scored. Game looked comfortable thanks to our midfield 3 workrate. I though Garrity was MTOM with his non stop running winning lots of 2nd balls. Excellent game from him today.

3 points and clean sheet. It was worth the frozen <ovf censored>.

Careful, you're not allowed to say that round here. You're not allowed to be more than content with 3 points but not over the moon with the performance from everybody this afternoon and rate the entire team as anything else other than 10/10.

Don’t understand your comment, 15 minutes AFTER the match, on my comment made DURING the game we were leading 1-0 in but coming increasingly under the cosh from a very poor side….

Under the cosh? Lucas could have been on Copacabana beach and we wouldn't have conceded.

There is such a thing as a reasoned middle ground Beech.

That's all - it's fine to criticise, without going to extremes.

What have I said that's so offensive to some in this thread? I've literally made about three points:

- It was a poor performance against a woeful side. Perhaps I am being a tad harsh, I could have used the word average. But I literally stated right after that the 3 points was the most important thing.

- Walker, a player I've wanted to see more of in our midfield, made a bit of a difference today. In my opinion, he was one of our better players. But apparently I NEVER say anything positive about the club and/or it's players.

- We could do with another striker. That's because I have little faith in Rodney these days and don't think Lloyd is suited to a lone role up front which is how we usually play.

That's about it.
