Proctor seemed to be struggling after colliding with their keeper. Not too sure he will be ok for sat

Yep, noticed that. Bit of a gamble bringing him on.

Can somebody answer we this. On Saturday when Oldham were chasing the game, they stuck the centre half Piergianni up front and launched it, yes??

With 80 mins on the clock, a man down and trailing, why didn’t we try something similar?? Even before Conlon’s sending off.

We we’re trying to play tight passes down the right, when nothing was going right for us, and often Amoo had 3 men facing him, and we never once go the ball into the box.

Getting a second yellow when you've already been booked is a cowardly act sometimes. He wanted an easy way out of the game in my opinion instead of rolling up sleeves (if he had them) and showing what a captain is all about when the going gets tough. Like the rest of our players, many of them much less talented than he is, he not only went missing tonight but he also gave us absolutely sod all chance of getting back in it the moment he decided he would like an early warm shower.

One of the worst posts on here in a long time.

I do not get this football club they get folk coming back to the ground with some magnificent displays at home then when they are back play like they have made it and stop doing the things that got the fans come back in the first place .
Tonight was absolutely awful .
They threw Darrell Clark under the bus the performance was horrendous

He needs to start helping himself though by not continuously picking a negative formation at home that teams have now sussed out. Everyone in that ground could see after 15 or 20 minutes that the formation was exactly what Walsall had prepared for.

It’s not the ref who was doing all the niggly fouls. And we were just as bad as them. Blaming officials is a smokescreen, we were awful, and deserved nothing

We were awful true

but if the ref can’t control a game how can any side attempt to play any football

The refs at this level do ruin games and this one certainly contributed to a dire evening

The ref isn’t the one passing the ball to the opposition I’m afraid.

Why was the ball never in play? We went to watch a game of football.

TBF I think that we tried to but almost every pass we made found touch.  It was excruciatingly poor from us tonight, we couldn't cope with their closing down, they were a yard or 2 faster than us all over the park.

Taylor out managed us, they played in the gaps in front of our wingbacks and we couldn't cope with their forwards especially Miller.

Not sure what Conlon got his 1st booking for but having been booked and with this ref he shouldn't have gone in studs up.

Talking of red cards Salford were down to 9 men tonight at home to Bristol Rovers , losing 1-0.

Final score 1-1.

We didn't even chuck Mad Cov up tonight. And when Benning took a free kick deep into injury time Rodney was almost holding his hand before thinking he better amble into the box.

Yeah, this is rubbish.

It was really daft but the concept he purposefully got himself sent off because he couldn't be bothered is a farcical.

Conlon's attitude is largely bang on, and tonight he made a really stupid challenge in a game when everyone was doing really stupid things.

And as Captain he should know better and do better. Nobody is perfect. Mistakes happen. But he left us in the <ovf censored> tonight. He's arguably our best player, but when the going gets really tough he's often found wanting, in my opinion. In a game we're already struggling in you can't go getting yourself sent off with two yellows.
