Wouldn’t be so sure about Proctor, didn’t look to be moving that great.

Horrible, horrible performance. They and Oldham have shown what this league is all about and we have been found wanting.

Proctor seemed to be struggling after colliding with their keeper. Not too sure he will be ok for sat

I don’t mind a ref making a howler, it happens but I think both sides should complain about him tonight. Every tackle was a free kick. All their time wasting that he was apparently keeping clock of added to an extra 40 seconds at the end of the 5

After this season we have no rights to complain about teams ' time wasting '

People in glass houses etc

Outmuscled, out-thought, out played. If we're ever going to get out of this league, we need to be able to compete with big ugly sides like Walsall but we're just not up to it. We lack physicality at the back, in the middle and when Proctor is out, up front.

On top of that we should never have set up with a formation that played straight into their hands and we stuck with it for too long. DC and Co got it terribly wrong tonight and they need to rethink it, starting imho with a change to four at the back and some physicality down the spine of the team.

Walsall knew exactly how we were going to play and nullified us completely. They're not alone - teams have worked us out and the same thing will happen again on Saturday unless we show some variation in formation, tactics and the way we play. Things need to change or there'll be more of this to come.

Quote of the week by far

From what Yates said on the radio it should have only been a yellow and warning.  But the ref made more of it and couldn't wait to get the red card out.

Walsall players have got away with throwing our players to the ground and in some cases more like full on assault.

Tom had already been booked in the aftermath of the Gibbo tackle on the touchline where he himself was booked and may have been a red.

Can we clarify for those who seem  unsure that Conlon was indeed 2 yellow cards . He got involved in the fracas when I think Gibbons took their player out on the touchline.

He was late for the second challenge. Absolutely a nailed on second yellow.

I'd of been screaming blue murder if it had been a Walsall player doing it.

Listening to his interview, I don't think we'll see Jones for a while.

Its up to the squad players now to show they can come in and do a better job. After tonight there are 11 players, if they are not selected Sat we may not see for a while.

I do not get this football club they get folk coming back to the ground with some magnificent displays at home then when they are back play like they have made it and stop doing the things that got the fans come back in the first place .
Tonight was absolutely awful .
They threw Darrell Clark under the bus the performance was horrendous

It’s a poor performance, against a horrible team and an awful ref , but to say our captain has bottled it is a disgrace . Some people thrive off a bad performance . We have injuries to key players and we can’t win and play well every week. His comments are only ever negative

Getting a second yellow when you've already been booked is a cowardly act sometimes. He wanted an easy way out of the game in my opinion instead of rolling up sleeves (if he had them) and showing what a captain is all about when the going gets tough. Like the rest of our players, many of them much less talented than he is, he not only went missing tonight but he also gave us absolutely sod all chance of getting back in it the moment he decided he would like an early warm shower.
