I thought that too all through the game but I was very disappointed with Taylor today, nothing like the midfielder who totally controlled the game against Liverpool youngsters. He looked listless when what we needed was someone to get a grip of the game as Tom was clearly fading after covering every blade of grass on the pitch. I don't think DC will have been that impressed with his showing and, given it was definitely an off-day for Garrity, I still think he will play over Taylor. Hope he comes right because a fit and confident Taylor is just what we need as the season goes on through the hard winter months.

It must be tough to come on with 28 mins and get a grip of the game especially when Vale were on the back foot against an uncompromising side as Bradford were. I saw Taylor getting into his defensive positions when vale didn't have the ball and when Vale did have the ball he made himself available but for whatever reason didn't get the ball most of the time, a number of times Worrall had the ball and Jake was free but Worrall chose to play the hopeful long ball which gave  away possession rather than keep possession and build via Jake.

There wasn't much space/time in midfield on Saturday and I would imagine it was a frustrating 28 mins for Taylor as it was for all the subs. Taylor has to be given a few games where he starts and can grow into the game, he has a much greater range of passing than Garrity and gets about the pitch just as much. Garrity has been poor for a number of games now and if DC won't give him a start after his performances vs Rochedale, Accrington (as a Sub) and Liverpool U21's then I don't know what he has to to do.

Conrad, perhaps we should mentor them. Didn’t we seek advice from Blackpool

We did and in all seriousness, surely as part of the football family we should support legitimate protests. Anyone reading about the Oldham situation can see that change is desperately needed.

Just think back to when we were in this trouble and the utter despair we felt - that's what Oldham fans are going through now. I remember how nice it was to get messages of support from fans of other clubs who put aside their differences on the pitch to show solidarity.

I don't want to see another club collapse like Bury and Macclesfield. I want to beat the opposition but fairly and squarely and not because the other club have been run to the ground by dodgy owners.

I hope Vale fans do support the protest - to show other, genuine lower league fans that we are sympathetic and we understand just how tough it must be for them now. If nothing else, we can tell them that if you persevere and don't give up then you can eventually get what you want for your club.

1565 tickets gone as of close of business yesterday with four days of ticket sales left, then pay on the day.

Bit weird but Oldham apparently have flipped the ends around, we’re behind the other goal now. Not sure if they’d done that before we last had a crowd there but the away end is now the west stand behind some new build houses.

Is the view of the pitch from behind the new build houses still ok ?
