Match Thread: Oldham Athletic v Port Vale

Oldham also have their FA cup replay on Tuesday night at home v Ipswich. Seems they're definitely no pushovers despite their poor league position. Held Ipswich to a draw at Portman Road & then narrowly beaten at 15 game unbeaten Exeter today.

Could be a tricky game especially if they've got the fans planning protests. Walsall on the Tuesday is a massive game for obvious reasons & then Hartlepool on the Saturday, also no mugs. Unbelievable home form, but let's see how they fair at Vale Park.

Be a good 1800 Vale there I reckon my lad and nephew going it's there first away day of the season hope they have a top day and the performance matches the following .
If sell over 2k that's really impressive.

Garrity should be dropped for this one I reckon, we've perceived with him for a while now but since he won his award in September his performances have been no where near. Time to give Walker/Taylor a run of games.

Can't see Garrity getting dropped for the next game, he's playing against his former club.

Wish there wasn't a protest planned as these sort of things tend to galvinise the team on the pitch rather than demoralise them, don't they?

I know a lot of fans have to pick and choose their games and with Smallsall at home a few days later that is a more attractive fixture, but I'd like to see over 2000 for this, not far, we're in great form, day out in Manchester.

If you're getting to the game on the train, is it best going from Victoria to Westwood on the pink line? Westwood seemed to be a tad closer to the ground than Oldham King Street/Central.

No Wilson or Proctor could be a problem, with Rodney not good enough to start and Lloyd not offering much in my opinion.

Amoo and Politic to run at them as a forward two. This is a good game to get the ball down on the flanks and use pace. Scare the <ovf censored> out of them.

I wonder if DC didn’t use Politic on TV to prevent Bolton from seeing him? I know they could just send a scout but maybe he’s just not making it easy for them. Surely he was due to make an appearance in a game like that, as we could have won it in the end.
