Tory Sleaze

I’m pleased with the result as I’d like a party with excellent ethics that are transparency. If Labour had won this it would have magnified the pressure on BJ. So does this mean that no one thinks that much of Labour either. I’d like the Tories to get rid of him now but I can’t see it as the LD’s are the party of overturning large majorities in By elections. I think come a general election ppl will return to the party that they normally support

A constituency that had been Tory for almost all of 200 years and the seventh biggest electoral swing in history. Up yours, Boris.

A wake up call for the goverment but plenty of time to recover.

Blair and Thatcher both lost by-elections but went on to win elections by massive majorities.

Blair and Thatcher weren't corrupt to the core and didn't think that the rules were above them nor involved in weekly sleaze.

Boris was at fault for losing this by election. Boris was also at fault for having the by election in the first place. He was brought in because he was a winner. Now he is becoming a loser. People finally seeing his true disgusting colours.

They need to show some decency, and stop the lies, that will not be easy, Johnson has gone through life not telling the truth.

A surprise in terms of the swing, honestly thought they'd just hold on knowing what people are generally like around here(but then again all of Stoke went blue at the last GE so big changes do happen).

The price of lies, tyranny and unscientific restrictions coming home to roost, the Lib Dems did by far the most campaigning around here too, a slightly poor choice of candidate from the Tories(not local which the Lib Dems prayed on big time) plus a bit of a protest vote all adds together.

All the best to our new MP.
