Match Thread: FAC 1 : Port Vale v Accrington Stanley

Teams were all happy to praise our bravery, fighting spirit and bits of good football when we were losing. Now we smash teams apart and then get abused by fans, players and managers during and after the games. Clubs hate the winners around them through envy and anxiety. Don’t listen to the patronising “you’ll get there old sport, cheer up” comments when we lose, listen to the excuses and retelling of the obvious when we win. Football is a nasty game and everyone’s trying to take you down when you’re winning.

Accrington are a L2 team standing quietly in L1 hoping nobody’s noticed them, we’re the opposite.

We’re not scared and your comments are embarrassing. <ovf censored> off back to the cowshed because we’re off for another crack at Pep, duck.

He left Walsall because of lack of backing and structure didn’t he? Salford as anyone knows watching the class of 92 have virtually zero infrastructure such as training ground.

DC knows a plastic precarious project when he sees one, he’s a football man.

Just watched the goals back. The first and fourth of our goals stood out for me. First was all Wilson, first to turn the first man, second to knock it past the second, then to have the awareness and composure to not just blast it first time. Fourth goal for me I think Lloyds contribution has been overlooked. What awareness and touch to play it like he did into the path of Gibbons. Then Gibbons calm cross before Cass, a centre half playing as a wing back, finishes like a striker. Absolutely superb

in fairness, one of the most balanced opposing manager interviews was by Kenny Jackett the other week - what a gent - could see him and Dazzer being best mates, sharing a pint after the game

Interesting that in his comments before the game Coleman remarked he’d got a lot of time and respect for Clarke. I don’t think he’s such a bad guy, just hurting after the game, and, as others have said, there’s an element of deflecting blame to protect his players.

Coleman is just a small minded manager at a small club. I can’t believe his comments. He makes David Artell sound sane. I’ve never known a manager, who has seen his side get such a thrashing, try to claim they somehow were hard done by.

It makes his players seem sorry for themselves and at any club that won’t see them improve.

His derogatory comments quote is a laugh too

Hasn't he heard terrace banter and sarcasm before

Chants of

Can we play you every week.

You're **** and you know you are

And yesterday's we want 6

It's all part of football gallows humour.

What an absolute pleb he has made himself look.

Am I missing something?  Is his record that bad?

I could have managed that game better than him yesterday. Absolute shambles.

"Keep putting on strikers and watch my defence disintegrate, concede 5, then cry post-match".

Rubbish. Up the Dazzler.
