Match Thread: Sutton United v Port Vale

Stats suggest we're giving them a battering.  According to the BBC stats we had 57% of the possession in first half hour, 4 shots with 2 on target. They've so far, not had a single shot! Keep it up lads.

Or drink like him.

Love Tom Pope, and respect all that he did for the club, but he is in the past now.  It's probably not healthy to bring his name up every time we score,or equally when we don't.

I don’t! Yet some people can’t let go.

Anyway, coming under the cosh a bit now. Need see out the rest of this half to the break.

Much the better footballing team, but you can see why they've been doing well themselves. Sloppy play by Conlon gave them their first real spell of pressure in the game which they scored from. Garrity has been quiet. Wilson sloppy.

I was just about to post about how predictable we were down the the left, with Gibbons cutting back on to his right every time.

You know what we’re gonna do, you just can’t stop us!

Feel that we’re a bit slow reacting to the second balls that are coming out to the edge of the box today.

We looked unplayable at times there, playing some really good stuff, but at the same time we’ve got to stand up to the physical battle, because that’s all they have. Most of our joy has come down our left, worralls had a quieter game so far. Wilson started off badly and has carried that on throughout the half, his touch has been really bad at times. We’ve dwelt on the ball a bit as well in midfield and put ourselves under pressure. We’ve been better when we’ve moved it quickly, as the second goal proved. That was a really good bit of movement from Gibbo and that kind of goal has become our trademark this season. Smith was very lucky to get away that pullback, so close to being a penalty.
