Must be almost time for Legge to come back now. Let’s have an update Clarkey.

Little injuries are going to be the only scuppering obstacle of this season I think, as the squad is good enough for promotion, but only with all the players fit and active.

Walker, Garrity, Conlon, Legge, Gibbo, now Proctor. Can’t keep swapping them in and out. Garrity off the pace but how can you blame him if he’s not fully fit. Is Conlon still carrying an injury? Walker? Has Wilson ever been fit, really?

The team needs to be rotated, not because of performances, to keep players fresh.

Therefore he needs to show his conviction that it's a squad game, which it is and which he has,but it didn't work today as it did last week. There's a good squad there but working out the balance is tough but that is the job and where ,in time, he'll be judged but not after such a short time.

What a tin pot club Sutton United really are. There manager should send the referee a bottle of his favourite whisky this evening. <ovf censored>.

They might be a tin pot club, but they won!!!

You win some, you lose some, you draw some. Football has ever thus been that way and always will be.

We beat ourselves in many ways today by getting dragged into a scrap rather than keeping with the football that got us into a two goal lead. We were also far too brittle when faced with a physical, direct approach. The less said the better about the referee who must have been their man of the match.

Ultimately though the behaviour of some of our “fans” was far more disappointing than anything on the pitch.

I took my 5 year old daughter for her first ever game today. She largely loved it, despite the result and us having to stand and me holding her for much of the game on a barrier. However after the 4th goal we had a mid 50s gentleman who tried charging straight through us in some sort of futile attempt to gesture at the Sutton players after the 4th goal. He continued to do so despite my clear protestations and the fact he could see I was holding my daughter.

To that gentleman I would say this. You are clearly old enough to know better and I hope you are proud of yourself for barging into a 5 year old watching their first ever live game of football.

A shambles of a second half performance not helped by awful substitutions. Lloyd and Amoo for Wilson and Proctor! Jeez.

Can't understand the substitutions. Hope DC explains why to Baggers or someone .

Watching football is a very emotional thing but sadly some fans are often "tired and emotional" during game time. Hope it doesn't put your kid off. It can be difficult to explain an intimidating atmosphere, good luck.

Very disappointing result, but 1 goal deflection, 1 own goal, 2 bad decisions for the other 2 goals means im not going to go over the top. But we were terrible at he back today, no mistaking that. We are 4th in the table. These games happen unfortunately now and then.

Ref terrible, but no excuse. As DC has said we need to be better. 3-2 up, we should have more about us not to lose that game if we're serious to get out of this awful league.

I bow to most people’s superior maturity and calm. I’m finding it hard to expunge a near total focus on the awful awful awful refereeing.
i hope to be able to comment on other matters tomorrow.

If As DC says proctor had a slight injury then he has to come off, but why bring the only other experienced striker off at the same time and replace them with a young kid, nothing against Lloyd, and a winger playing as a striker.

You could sort of see that happening in the last 20 mins of the first half. We were struggling when they started peppering high balls into the box. But, it's another lesson, something to look at this week, something to work on. Disappointed tonight, but that's football. Important we bounce back next week, and string another unbeaten run together. We're 4th, a great position to be in, let's wait until April before we slide into the top three. Keep the faith Valiants , we've got a good squad, and a good manager, good times are coming.
