Feel that we’re a bit slow reacting to the second balls that are coming out to the edge of the box today.

We looked unplayable at times there, playing some really good stuff, but at the same time we’ve got to stand up to the physical battle, because that’s all they have. Most of our joy has come down our left, worralls had a quieter game so far. Wilson started off badly and has carried that on throughout the half, his touch has been really bad at times. We’ve dwelt on the ball a bit as well in midfield and put ourselves under pressure. We’ve been better when we’ve moved it quickly, as the second goal proved. That was a really good bit of movement from Gibbo and that kind of goal has become our trademark this season. Smith was very lucky to get away that pullback, so close to being a penalty.

Exactly. Some of the teams in this league survive by being massively over-physical and just try and run the opposition over physically, especially at home. Just got to ride those challenges and let the better quality passers take charge.

They can’t get near us when we’re playing quick one touch football. But it’s hard to get your game going when a team is constantly launching it on you and chasing everything, it’s easier said than done to get it down and try and dictate the game at our own pace, but that’s what we need to try and do.

agree with an earlier post that wilson and Garrity look a bit off it.

Can't ask for much more than that, played some nice stuff and two goals, unlucky with the deflection for their goal.

They look more dangerous going forward than any other team we've played in Lge 2 this season, some of their players seemed as though they were trying to provoke Vale players.

Wish the camera man would pan out a bit more, too close at times.

Difficult team to defend against with height and pace, similar to the Wimbledon of old. Garrity struggling a bit after last week and if he’s replaced sooner see Walker to Taylor who’s less suited to this physical battle. One more Vale, please, to see them off. Reckon they’ll come at us again hard and fast, so time to dig in and keep possession

Remember when we used to do that for Bennett. We’ll be out the league soon so don’t have to worry about it lol.

Man City we used to beat fairly often in the 90s. In fact we famously stayed up at the expense of Man City and Stoke on the final day of the 97/98.

It really wasn’t that long ago.

West Ham I recall us playing them often in Div 2 in the early 90s. Although a win was probably further back.

I don’t think anyone can remember league wins over Man United, Chelsea or Arsenal however.

In fairness to myself,  I was only thinking in terms of league matches. Including cup matches would probably level things up in terms of who we've beaten

The stat is that we've had League victories against all the other clubs...depending on how this finishes?
