I've never known a more nailed on Vale loss than this in years. Bang in form against a struggling side.

We're too excited/optimistic.

Prepare yourselves now folks. We've been hurt too many times before.

Joe the other week v Swindon nailed on 6-0 drubbing was not though was it .

We playing better away than at home so we go there to win and as long as we are not complacent as we sometimes seem to believe we are better than we actually are then as long as all the players put a shift in no reason why that 3rd away win is not incoming .

I feel Proctors due another goal the work he puts in he probably deserves a hat trick most weeks just for sheer hard  work alone Wilsons head is up and he will be wanting build on his goal ,Garrity gets in there gamely and Worrall is well capable of netting and from the bench there's Amoo who should be very fresh ready to get on there and shoot whenever he can .

Smith's due a goal and Conlon can strike a ball superbly .

No reason why we shouldn't be going there and winning .

Does that Loft still play for them and that winger Elsa if so special attention must be paid to them as loft dominated Smith both times last season and elsa or whatever is name is was superb also .

I agree mate. Every sign points to a comprehensive Vale win. That's why we'll lose. It is the History of the Vale.

Eisa is at Bradford, Loft is still there.

Early goal is key against a side in their position I think. Fans will turn.

I don't really buy into the whole "we never win there" thing. Who gives a <ovf censored> what results an entirely different squad and management team got in years past? Fairly meaningless.

On paper we should have the squad to turn Scunthorpe over. No complacency, it'll be a battle, but we should be going into it with a determined winners mindset instead of worrying over how many goals Johnny Brain and Chris Martin shipped up there.

Chris Martin said after the game “nobody said it was easy, no-one ever said it would be so hard.”

Good. He was their best player when we played them last season but apparently is inconsistent. Eisa has gone to Bradford. I believe they have had to get rid of a few of their better players and are struggling for money. We just need to ensure we are on the money and compete as well as we have done and we should be fine.

Oh dear. It seems the unfortunates down in yam yam land are really still rather rattled that DC had the temerity to leave for a much bigger job.

I'm looking forward to November 23rd. And the away game in late April, what a spectacle that will be during the run in of a promotion push. More engaging than the usual spectacle in Walsall, which is one of a crowd congregating in the town centre to watch the trial of a pig accused of witchcraft.

Same team as last saturday if no injuries but think its got a draw written all over it 10 - 10 would be be nice but settle for 1 - 1.  Suspect they will park the bus and go for draws against teams until they get their confidence back its still early in the season so they could still be gelling
