Why is it taking Worrall half an hour to do anything this evening? Twice he has taken too long now when in great positions. We play some decent football when we pop it around quickly but we don't do it anything like often enough, and seem to happy to let them other team have it for my liking. Hopefully ours subs can come on and make a difference in attack.

They look a decent outfit without creating any chances....but we all know what happens with that don't we children? We've got to get and keep possession much better......reckon DC will be ringing the changes this half.

Lot to do second half - this one has been dominated by a lack of communication at both ends of the pitch (how did Garrity manage to take that cross off Devante's head?) and their midfield is dominating play with their full backs exploiting our daft 352 system. We can't keep missing chances like this or we'll pay the price big time.

Wozza also looks off the pace but it's awful to see our main attacking threat covering so much ground to defend.

Second half need to go 433 and put more pressure on their dodgy back four who look terrified of Rodney every time he gets the ball. Rodney/Wilson/Wozza please.

This system does not suit Rodney or Worrall at all, both very poor this half. Jones has played well and the midfield trio doing decent things in fits and starts, they break very quickly and the 4 on 1 was a little bit alarming in terms of exposing our lack of pace. These aren’t a bad team, good on the ball, plenty of direct runners, players prepared to shoot from distance and very dogged in terms of putting their foot in and making sure they win something. But I think we can be better than we’ve shown this half.

Some harsh comments on here I think. Playing quite well again. Proctor looks a hell of a find. Got in behind them a few times with some lovely play. Worrall should have at least one. He's let himself down so far tonight. Rodney frustrating me though. Got the beating of them for pace but then stands back for 5 mins admiring what he's done. Bit more composure and we'll beat these 2 or 3

Stats reckon 0 shots on target. You won’t win many matches with half the match not even getting 1 on target. Rather shocked as we looked to have plenty of chances.

Vale need a break and the strikers need to gamble in the box. Made some good chances but just can't finish them off.

If Walker is going to play the holding midfield player than he needs to stay in the pocket/behind the ball or someone needs to cover for him when he goes forward, we nearly paid a price for his sorties up the field a couple of times.

Wilson to come on and score a cracker.....can always hope.

How come is it the opposition gets to the second ball 75% of the game? Its allowing them to drive at us way to much.
Fair bit of Vale getting possession and then losing it thru poor distribution as per
Good first half tho, been very competitive and we've had some very good movement and some good chances.
Boy did we get out of jail in the 4v1 Carlisle break.
Need to switch it about abit for the second half imo. Midfield is struggling and getting over run alot. UTV

Really unlucky there, stunning through ball from Pett and great cross from Worrall. Need to change the shape and keep him higher up the pitch.

Can be as unlucky as we like, we si brought in an adequate striker to score the goals, this man is a clown, and is sending us down

2-0 up at Swansea and you're on Vale's forum. Weird behaviour.
