A few interesting comments from Chesterfield fans. Ranging from Vale are very poor to it would be no surprise if we are playing them next season !!!

Do Chesterfield fans know it was a friendly? Numpties.

Found it!

Not a great angle to see the incident, but, for me, Lucas gets the ball cleanly and is watching it go out ofp play when there player hits the deck? Can't really see whether he throws his elbow back - but i'm pretty sure he's not watching the player coming in?

Apologies - going  off topic for a moment: Well done to everyone for hitting 4.5k season tickets...and probably over that, according to Colin Garlick! Awesome job, chaps!!

With walk ups and away support we could be getting over 6,000 gates on a regular basis.

For some reason though unlike most other clubs we don't automatically include them in our gates ?

I'm sure we've say had Stevenage on a cold Tuesday and had 3100 announced  despite selling 4000 tickets

Whereas Lard have 20'000 even though about 14'000 in the ground.

Great numbers though . Must be the best since the 5000 target whenever that was

The main commentator seemed to think that whoever had the most corners won the game! All he went on about!

Strange bunch.

No he didn't. He just said they had more corners. Which was a statement of fact. Commentary was fair.

Considering some of the hostile numpties we had to listen to on iFollow last season, I thought they were pretty fair. The only thing they got consistently wrong was mistaking Cass for Pett and that was because they had each other's shirt on.

Imagine that, fans overreacting to a friendly that means nothing where players aren’t flying around like they normally would.

Exactly this… our players weren’t flying in like they would in a league game and intensity was down on that expected in a league game.

Good final workout, shape was decent. We defended well against set pieces which was something highlighted after the last game.

Bring on the season

People predicting a teams future season or a players future prospects based on pre season friendlies cant understand the game and what the intention of preseason friendlies are.
