When it happened to Muamba, wasn't there a cardiologist in the crowd who ran onto the pitch? Like you say, if it's going to happen, best in these circumstances than when you're on your own

Phil, that’s correct and a lot of good things came from the unfortunate incident with Fabrice and it’s probably saved another life today.

The DBU are saying the game will be continued later tonight. Not sure about the sensibility of that, UEFA pressure can sod off.

The game will resume at the request of both the Danish and Finish players.

The survival rate for out of hospital arrests is less than 10%.

Our very own Mellor on here has contributed to that figure, he and Wez off PVO successfully resuscitated and saved the life of a Huddersfield fan at an FA Cup game a few years ago.

If you get the chance to do a CPR qualification at work, do it.

Posted earlier about the medical teams seemed to be slow and jogging across the pitch, I take it back, wonderful job they have done and thankfully he makes a full recovery, some things more important than football.

That was horrendous to watch. Shame on the BBC for continuing to stream pictures of him when it was clear he was having CPR. Racehorses get more respect than that with a big screen straight away

The BBC had no control over the pics - feed came fromUEFA.

Presumably the Danish broadcaster was using the UEFA feed too. They managed to cut away immediately.

There's no way the BBC broadcast studio doesn't have an emergency button to cut to a 'standby - technical difficulties' style placeholder. A few people have really messed up.

Huge respect to the Danish players. Firstly to put a protective wall around their team-mate and then to have enough fortitude to step on the pitch to complete the match which has in all effect saved the competition whilst only being concerned about their friend and colleague. That must have taken some doing. I, for one, wouldn't have blamed them if they had decided to forego the competition.

He had a cardiac arrest, not a heart attack as some people believe, and there is a difference between the two. A cardiac arrest is much more sudden, and is usually the heart's electrical system suddenly malfunctioning. Whereas a heart attack is less instant, and has the obvious symptoms. Basically, being a footballer, Eriksen's heart muscle itself will no doubt be in great shape due do his lifestyle. But if the electrical system goes then it's exactly the same for an elite sportsmen than it is for an average Joe from the street.

Shocking scenes and you would have to be pretty messed up not to be shaken by it.

Utter joke, no Grealish and then Trippier at left back when Shaw and Chilwell are in the squad.  Also no room for Sancho on the bench but his favourite Sterling in the team despite being woefully out of form.

Champions league winner Chillwell not picked yet Trippier is more of a right side player gets in. What has Sterling done to get in the side. He’s gone for experience, and that is why we will never win anything under Southgate.

Is Chillwell fully fit and being saved for later games?
