Such a solid, gritty performance. Granted Germany aren't quite what they were, but they are still a very good and dangerous side. They took Portugal apart a bunch of days ago it shouldn't be forgotten.

Now that he's calmed himself down a bit, Pickford looks much better for it. He genuinely looks like a world-class keeper in an England shirt. Thought the back three of Walker, Stones and Maguire were generally excellent too. As a trio they have everything you would want in a backline. Yeah, Germany created a couple of chances and missed one sitter, but the top sides will always create a few things over 90 minutes.

Hopefully the goal will do Kane the world of good and the real Harry Kane will now turn up. We'll need him to be at his best if we're to win the thing.

Both goals came from getting the ball in wide positions.

So why not try to do it more often?

Don’t need to when you never concede.

Immense. Get in there and make it count and get to the final lads. Grealish changed that game he’s absolutely class. Two very good goals. Pickford, mcquire and stones were top class imo. Sterling as well other than that one pass

What do I know!!

He had a pretty poor game to be fair, and his goal was all about the cross. But he's far too good a player to have a stinker of a whole tournament if England go deep. If we make the final I believe he'll have scored another couple by then. That goal will hopefully give him lift off.

I don't understand the criticism of England.  In the quarters now, still to concede a goal and yet constant criticism.

Czech republic,  Croatia  , Austria   -  all beaten by England,  all caused so called top teams major problems.  Why can't we just enjoy the success?  If anyone thinks we are going to win games easily  , they are in cloud cuckoo land.

Get behind England!!

It's coming home

The other thing about that miss is it was about 80 minutes played and yet watch Kyle Walkers 60-70 yard sprint to intercept Muller. Worrall esque.

Muller could no doubt hear and feel Walker coming, and I think is part of the reason when he scuffed his shot a bit. Walker has some brain farts but there isn't a full-back in world football that I can think of that has his pace, strength and powers of recovery.

Was there last night, incredible atmosphere, i've been a full Wembley and half full last night was far louder than those occasions.

First ten minutes thought "here we go" but once got control of the game we seemed fairly comfortable without threatening... until Grealish came on.

Was absolute carnage when the goals went in and at full time. A Great evening and a first game since Vale v Scunthorpe 17 months back!
