Possible good news but please take it with a pinch of salt. There is a genuine photo on twitter showing him sat up with eyes open, conscious on the stretcher. There's a hand on his forehead but it's unclear if it's his own. Hopefully it means they successfully resuscitated him on the pitch.

From radio 5 it is his hand and now in hospital. Brilliant news

Thank god he's alive. Truly awful moment for the football family but more importantly his own family and loved ones.

Puts things in perspective.

Not that it is something you choose or want,  but  if you are going to collapse, do so close to medical help.

When it happened to Muamba, wasn't there a cardiologist in the crowd who ran onto the pitch? Like you say, if it's going to happen, best in these circumstances than when you're on your own

I have a real issue with the BBC editor responsible for broadcasting all of that, including his wife, twice, without cutting away, but now is not the time to express what I think of them.

The BBC need investigating, continuing to show such obviously distressing scenes. No excuses at all.Thankfully, Christian appears to be recovering.

That was the worst thing I’ve ever witnessed on tv. Showing not only distressed players, family, fans but also showing the cpr was upsetting. Fair play to the Denmark players for doing their best to shield him, that must have been terrible for all involved. Good news that he’s awake though.
