Please don't. I honestly couldn't bare losing Gibbo this month.

If this rumour has substance then hopefully so do the ones linking Legge to Crawley and Rodney to Walsall. Flipping one or two of them for this big commanding CB would be the definitive conlusive proof IMO that Flitcroft is a magic wizard who can bend space and time.

And me i really like gibbo

In fairness, we've probably made circa 100k from the cups + Bradford telly money + Brentford international telly money + Johnson fee + Johnson, Whitehead, Amos, Lloyd wages so far.

I would imagine Legge and Rodney will be gone by the end of the window too, probably for nothing but would take a chunk of wages off the books.

Not so sure on Legge mate although Martin hasn't been the answer we'd hoped .If there's any legs ( see what I did there ! ) in the Hall rumour then I'd go with that but has to be a place on the bench for Harratt ? .

Exciting times as Clarke plays Pep roulette every game with our options.

Yeah, seems harsh to leave Harratt out, even more so after he scored on his debut! It's a nice problem for the manager to have. There's going to be some perfectly decent and capable players not even in the match day squad once everyone is fit and available. At some point he's suddenly going to have to choose two from Proctor, Wilson, Edmondson, Harratt, Amoo and Rodney, if the latter doesn't leave. So me nice firepower to have!

That Jake Scrimshaw who's scored against us a few times recently has according to twitter been recalled by Bournemouth and is presumably available for loan again...

Didn't Rodney have covid pretty early on in the pandemic? He seemed to dip a bit after that(after a good start) then came back in form towards the end(scored against Newport and Col U in that 6 game winning streak) so I'd be surprised if it's a big issue with that although you never know.

I'd still like to see a half decent fee if he did go(18 months left on deal) as he's one of those players who has moments of brilliance in him(a little like Sodje used to) but the lack of consistency and the fact his form has fell off a cliff I'd be surprised if he goes much above League One in his career unless there's a dramatic improvement.

He's player of the season. First name on the teamsheet.

I’d say the same. It happens often with signings, fans get excited and forget what’s already under their noses. Some big selection headaches for Clarke with Gibbo and Worrall playing so well, if one of this dropped, which I imagine they will be for Hussey, then you couldn’t see either of them being happy given the season they’ve had. I haven’t seen enough of Hussey to get excited to see him over Gibbo tbh.

Harrat could possibly become number 1 striker after what we saw on Saturday

How many strikers do you want?! We're more than well stocked there now

If Rodney goes we'd have 3 fit strikers.

No way that the recruitment lad Tommy Johnson doesn't have a file on Scrimshaw. I doubt Bournemouth have recalled him early (season long loan) to play in the Championship, it's likely because they're rescuing him from the morale vaccum of relegation with Scunthorpe in favour of a move to somewhere more productive higher up.

Scrimshaw would be known to DC as he was on loan at Walsall when he was still there. Be interested in his record against teams not called Port Vale though. From bits have seen of him he seemed rather a George Lloyd clone.

After the season Gibbos had I can’t believe how quick people are to ditch him.

Don’t think literally one person wants to ditch him. I’d say him and garrity have been our two best players this season. People are just happy / excited that we have signed an excellent player in Hussey. If worse did come to worse with Gibbo at least we have a replacement that is good enough ready to go. Best signing of this window would be a new contract for Gibbo

Proctors injured, not dead. He'll be back by the end of the month. Rodneys not gone anywhere yet, and we have Politic, Amoo and Garrity who can deputise in the short term. No way will we bring in another striker
